They should just play that over and over to the backdrop "Don't Try This At Home". They did. For years. 'I thought Shane mighta been knocked out.' Was meaning where the refs let Shane attempt to shuffle off backstage under his own devices. You could tell he was in no condition to walk; I thought he was gonna topple over.

I had forgotten how often WcW refs got their ass kicked. Weather a ref bump during a match or something afterwards, they took a beating.

January 21, 1996 Nitro. Linda Hogan is one of the girls that escorts Randy Savage to the ring.

I was surprised that Tony Schiavone referred to Flair being Arn Anderson's cousin at Fall Brawl 1995, I thought that had long been dropped and forgotten since the 80's.

Pepe the dog was better than Mongo on commentary.

Watching Bash at the Beach 1998. Just seen a God awful spot where Raven is laying on two tables as Saturn goes to the top rope. Kanyon comes out and removes Raven from the tables in full sight of Saturn. A couple of seconds pass. Saturn jumps through the tables anyway to try and hit the elbow drop...
With the amount of press and non fans watching the event for Rodman, they must have seen this opening match spot and laughed.

That Dennis Rodman was associating with Hogan in his Hulkamania days (see Bash of the Beach '95). Always thought he didn't come around until the nWo.

Oddest part of this is that VK Wallstreet was announced the week before as the returning Michael Wallstreet... and the day of they changed it with no real explanation given. (Yes, I know it was changed as a "shot" at Vince. I'm talking Kayfabe) Also in the return promo Michael Wallstreet made reference to both the New Generation and that the IRS... was watching him closely ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I'm not a fan of the Brian Pillman loose cannon gimmick.
Also he and Dean Malenko had a terrible match with the dumbest finish ever. Malenko got his foot caught in the ropes and Pillman covered him even though the referee had to have seen this and it still took him forever to count to three. Not shocking, but the referee in question is Nick Patrick. Watching this show has made me full realize that Patrick was the worst referee in wrestling history. Even when he wasn't doing the heel referee thing, he was still terrible.

RAW has always been recap-heavy, it's not a recent thing. The episode from 1998 I just watched replayed the Zamboni thing from the previous week about three times in an hour and a half. Hell, they even recapped the Vince hospital beatdown in literally the next segment after it happened.
So yeah, not a new thing. I bet nobody complained back then though.

The Mr. Perfect/Rick Martel match on the March 8, 1993 Raw ends off-camera. That's two straight Raws where the Main Event's endings were botched.
The March 15, 1993 Raw was the first held outside the Manhattan Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. It's also the first Raw that does not feature Randy Savage and Vince McMahon on commentary.
They tried to cater to Bartlett's strengths (impressions) but fail pretty hard at it. His Elvis one isn't that good and his Vince one is just a bad parody.
L.A. Gore sounds more like an action film than a wrestler.

Shawn Michaels really didn't look enthused by the whole Taboo Tuesday concept.

"Where the big boys play" really is a terrible tag line. Especially when Luger says several times that he's in WCW to "get down with the big boys"

On a similar note I'm watching the last Clash of the Champions of '95 and Hogan made reference to himself being Irish. Thought that was something they dropped pre-Wrestlemania 1.

Watching the Monday Night War show on DX - two things: 1. Bret Hart calling them Degenerates started the name 2. Just how involved Ravishing Rick was with DX. I honestly had no idea - does this usually get glossed over or have I just been completely ignoring it? Yeah, about the only thing anyone ever remembers is being on both shows in one night
