Dean Ambrose's Us title reign is the only bad thing about the Shield from the beggining. And it's a very bad one.

Have we ever had a champion who was pushed so hard and did absolutely nothing to elevate his title?

It's going to be worth it when Kofi Kingston finally wins it again.

Is there a more devalued belt in WWE now?

Is there a more devalued belt in WWE now? The US title is more valued than the IC in my opinion, simply due to Ambrose's position on the card. Miz, Barrett, Axel, and Big E have been virtual jobbers through their reigns.

My dad asked me the other day when was the last time Ambrose defended his US title. When my dad, who's a casual fan at best, notices that your title isn't being defended it's time to pack it in.

He's in direct violation of the 30 day rule?
Its stupid that with 4 Wrestling TV shows, pay-per-views and preshows they can't book him to defend a title every month.

Does he even bother to wear the belt anymore? Only for matches, so when he's planning to do a beat down (like on Raw last week) he doesn't come out with it.

He defended it on the
18th April 2014 in Saudi Arabia 11th March 2014 on Main Event 8th March 2014 in Utah 14th February 2014 on Raw 9th February 2014 in California 25th January 2014 in Ohio 8th December 2013 in Washington 7th December 2013 in Sacramento 6th December 2013 in California 16th November 2013 in Vienna, Austria 14th November 2013 in France 10th November 2013 in England 8th November 2013 in Belgium 28th October 2013 at Raw (well won it)
Therefore he's defended it at least once every month.

Random question: Wasn't it like that for the WWF in the mid 80s where unless it was a PPV, the WWF champ didn't really defend the title? Looks like Dean Ambrose is bringing that back!! The titles were still being defended at house shows, which apparently Ambrose is also doing. So yes, Ambrose is an 80's-style Titty Master champion.

Here are the list of title defenses Ambrose has had on PPV/TV since winning the title:
5/19/13 - Defeats Kofi Kingston for the title at Extreme Rules
1. 5/21/13 - Draw vs. Kofi Kingston on Smackdown (aired 5/24) 2. 5/27/13 - Defeats Kofi Kingston on Raw (via pinfall) 3. 6/16/13 - Defeats Kane at Payback (via countout) 4. 6/17/13 - Loses to Kane on Raw (via DQ, title stays with Ambrose) 5. 8/18/13 - Loses to Rob Van Dam at Summerslam (via DQ, title stays with Ambrose) 6. 9/15/13 - Defeats Dolph Ziggler at Night of Champions (via pinfall) 7. 9/24/13 - Loses to Dolph Ziggler on Smackdown (via DQ, title stays with Ambrose - aired 9/27) 8. 10/15/13 - Defeats Dolph Ziggler on Main Event (via pinfall - aired 10/16) 9. 10/27/13 - Loses to Big E Langston at Hell in a Cell (via countout, title stays with Ambrose) 10. 10/28/13 - Loses to Big E Langston on Raw (via DQ, title stays with Ambrose) 11. 2/10/14 - Loses to Mark Henry on Raw (via DQ, title stays with Ambrose) 12. 3/11/14 - Defeats Mark Henry on Main Event (via pinfall after Shield distraction)
So in a little over 11 months Ambrose has defended the title 12 times, only twice in the last 6 months. And of the 12, he's 5-6-1, with one of the wins coming via a distraction. Also, 4 of those defenses came in the first month he had it, and he's had gaps of 63 and 106 days without defending it.

The reason he isn't challenged is apparently everyone's afraid of him hence why they don't challenge him. I believe they've mentioned it a few times and the last time it was mentioned, Dean was so pissed off he challenged someone (think it was Henry). The thing about that was they kept doing incriminating panning shots to Reigns whenever Ambrose said people were too scared to fight him, like that was a pretty big hint Ambrose was eventually gonna get a Superman punch to the face and the US Title Reign of...Reigns would be happening soon and Shield breakup and all that jazz. Then once realized they f***ed up their Mania card and Roman was still green as shit in singles, they stopped doing that pretty damn quick.

Including house shows he's defending it once every five-to-six days or so on average.
