Both considered to be two of the best video game movies ever, but which is better? There's only one way to find out...

Street Fighter II because of the fights, the animation, and...the Chun-Li shower scene (for those guys out there).

Mortal Kombat is a pretty darn good movie.
I also happened to read its novelization a little while ago. It was surprisingly decent and improved upon the movie itself a bit. Kano did not die and stayed through the entire book as comic relief. I enjoyed this and I assume that's the way it was in the draft script.

Street Fighter 2 for me, though it's actually kind of funny just how influential the Mortal Kombat movie was on its own franchise, moving it away from a SHAMELESS Big Trouble in Little China knockoff that is the first game. (Raiden is one of The Storms, sure, but Shang Tsung is basically a dime store Lo Pan.) The movie changed that to a degree.

Street Fighter 2 because it has some pretty good fights, animation & also seeing Chun Li in the shower (Just not that big on Paul W Anderson films)

I have literally not seen MK since its theatrical release, I remember liking it but have to see if it holds up. But Shao Khan was DR. CLAW!!!!
SF2:TAM would win for me either way, but it must be the Japanese version. Original soundtrack > 90s rock in the dub. "Enter Vega" = GREAT song!

Street Fighter II for some of the best fight scenes I've seen in an animated movie. Plus, I never liked how the main female character in Mortal Kombat was taken out so laughably easily. Took an absolutely brutal fight for Chun-Li to go down, and she at least won it.

Liu Kang: You can't run from me Shang!
Shang Tsung: I don't need to run!
*Fighter roll call*
Still gives me goosebumps to this very day.

Street Fighter. Mortal Kombat had a great cast and theme song, Street Fighter had great fight scenes, and awesome art and animation. Also, Chun-Li is literally head-to-toe gorgeous in the movie.

Street Fighter II made me actively ship Chun Li and Guile. The scene where she trolls him and fakes her death for a laugh is too cute for words

Did Sonya Blade have a shower scene? No? Then clearly SF2 is superior.

Street Fighter II is one of my favourite animated movies, definitely got to go with that.
