Great series, Kings fans. Tough loss for the Hawks. I think they will be back in the mix next year. It better not be a damned sweep. And with Henrik in goal for the Rangers I doubt it. Plus the Rangers have rest. Kings have hauled a lot of games and a lot of emotion so far. Rangers take the first. Kings rattle off 2-3 wins, rangers get one, Kings finish it off. |

I think this series is gonna be closer than people think it will. Kings have the offense, but the Rangers have the defense. We'll have to see who does what they do best better.

Let's see how the Kings do as favorites for a change. All the pressure's on them with their Rasputin unkillable WHY WON'T YOU DIE-ness reputation as the most unkillable team in history, home ice, expectations on how they're ALWAYS supposed to win in the playoffs.
That said: 0-3, 2-3, almost blowing a 3-1 lead, down 2-0.... they are seriously cheating death here.

I finally get interested in Hockey recently and it's because of the Blackhawks, and then they go and lose.
I guess it's my fault for taking interest!
As someone who's new to Hockey; who's the favourite between Kings and Rangers?

I had a family function to go to and unfortunately they don't get NBCSN, so I didn't get to see the game live. I've now finished watching it. This game has to go down as possibly the greatest game in the history of the Los Angeles Kings next to Game 6 of the Finals two years ago. This game's already surpassed the Gretzky Game 7 performance against the Leafs in '93, Games 4;6 of the 2001 WCQF against Detroit, the Miracle on Manchester, Game 7 against the Sharks this year and Game 7 against the Ducks. Had they lost this game, I feel like a lot of what's been building up not only this season, but the entire Dean Lombardi era would have been for not. I can tell you in confidence that not only would I and the other fans been devastated, but a bit of the team would have probably died as well (not literally, of course).
This team is just...I can't even describe this team. Their drive is unreal. I'll be honest, after game 6, I was driving myself crazy on how this game would play out(mostly negative), but this team once again proved not only to crazy fans like me, but to everyone watching that they truly are a special group. Even if they would have lost, I would still be a die-hard Kings fan, but man...this team is just something else.
Anyways, I give full marks to the Blackhawks. These two teams could not have been any closer. They're the one team that truly strikes fear into me. They really are scary good. Congratulations on a great season and I'm sure the boys will be playing you for many, many years to come.
Time to savor this one for the next 24 hours, regroup and be ready for the Rangers on Wednesday. GO KINGS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
