Technically, this is inaccurate. Chris Pronger has not officially retired. Well I said active in a way that Giguere was the last one still playing in the NHL. I doubt Pronger will ever comeback. Hell Snyder and Holmgren even said he's never coming back Pronger has trouble actually going to watch games live because the arena lighting gives him massive headaches. Really it's quite sad. |

The Boston Bruins signed C David Krejci to a 6 year 43.5 mil extension.
Love it! He's been consistant his entire tenure and outside of a bad postseason this year, he's been a playoff stud

Anyone else completely underwhelmed by NHL 15 this year? I just canceled my preorder for the 360 after seeing a few YouTube reviews saying it's literally the exact same game as NHL 14. If you have an older gen, you get no updates but more game modes than next gen. If you have next gen, you get about 1/4 of the game...but it looks cool!

The PS4 version is very different form the PS3 version of 14. All of the physics are redone and it is very noticeable, from the puck movement to the hits, the demo has sold me pretty well on getting it. |

Koivu retired in the same way as another fella from Turku did, in Miikka Kiprusoff. A great, humble man who wasn't going to make a big deal about himself.
Regarding the idea of having his jersey iced as the longest serving captain of the Montreal Canadiens he simply answered that he isn't as worthy as the men who have had their jerseys iced for them.

It was time, but it still sucks to see that another hockey superstar from my childhood is retiring. It sucks even worse that this little portion of his career was with the Ducks.

I like a lot of these changes, especially making the trapezoid bigger and the increased penalties for diving. Of course I'd like to get rid of the trapezoid altogether, but this is a compromise I can live with.

Assistants? Really, Habs? Makes sense. They are a young team, let another season to find out who will be the true captain to lead the team for years. Plus Subban and Pac haven't even been Assistant captains yet. So they can't be the captain |
