Dennis Wideman scores on himself 200ft away $5.25m folks. To be fair Dennis Wideman is playing very well this year and is a reason why Calgary has one of the best top 4 this season.

Of course the three former Oilers playing for the Stars either had a goal or two assists! And of course Horcoff had to get the game winning shootout goal! I didn't watch the game but I hear the Oilers are finally playing better with Todd Nelson/Craig MacTavish as the coaches and hearing that Craig MacTavish benching Justin Schultz and yelling at him makes me smile. Seriously how does somebody look like one of the best defensive prospects in the world become one of the worst defensemen in a span of two and half seasons?

Rangers continuing their winning ways. 1-0 over the Hurricanes gives them 6 straight.

Why does Craig MacTavish continue to think Brad Hunt is an NHL caliber player?
And re: Jhultz. You go from being one of the best defensive prospects in years to what you see currently when you're a defenseman who never learns how to play defense.

You go from being one of the best defensive prospects in years to what you see currently when you're a defenseman who never learns how to play defense. Because Brad Hunt has an amazing slapshot! *Rolls eyes* To be fair Hunt was lighting it up in OKC so I guess Nelson likes him. But with Schultz they never ever punish him and reward him top minutes every game and give him the easiest starts while stroking his ego with his big one year contract and call him Norris Potential. Meanwhile Petry on the otherhand is a decent defenseman who has been constantly shit on since day one and I have no idea why Mac T gave him that stupid insulting one year contract because he's going to become a UFA at the end of the season and actually develop into a useful 3-4 defenseman on a good team. Hell Detroit really needs a right handed shot defenseman and Detroit has been trying to get local boy for years. When the best scouting franchise in the NHL wants your prospect especially in a franchise where they only had one draft pick past the first round (Petry) to play 250 games since 06, chances are he's good and you should treat him well and keep him but only the losers would give him up. Just like how they mishandled best second besr defenseman last year and Olympian Marincin this year. God I hate this team and the toxic locker room coaching and management created

Dustin Byfuglien gets away with slashes and dirty hits all night and then proceeds to turn the puck over 10 seconds into OT and Voracek buries it. Karma's a bitch Buf.

Rangers enter the holiday break with a 7-game winning streak. Nash and St.Louis had 2 goals each, but St.Louis' 2nd goal may have actually been another one for Nash. Either way, awesome victory.

Lol Gagner just scored against the Oilers. Dubnyk about to be unbeaten against Edmonton and the last trade Tambellini ever did might of been his worst because Reider looks like a gem in Arizona

It's almost as if they just aren't a very good hockey team that isn't built to win.

They didn't send Draisatil to the World Juniors to help him develop in a lost season, bench him in the first game after the deadline, and is rumored to be sent back down in Junior when Prince Albert finalizes a trade (rumored to be Kelowna) wasting one year of his entry level contract. Like this is beyond incompetent. The worst is how some will always defend Mac T for the guy who fleeced St. Louis for Perron but that 2nd round pick is probably going to be good since St. Louis can actually draft beyond a first overall pick!

I want to hear his reasoning for A)Sending Marincin down in the first place at the start of the year. B)Continuing to keep him there now

It's even more mind boggling how they are wasting him of how well he played last year, but all was to be confirmed the prospect Vancouver wanted during the draft day Cory Schneider was traded at

FUN FACT!
The Oilers have played 35 games and won 7.
Devan Dubnyk has started 12 games and won 7.
Sorry I'm just on a urge of a breakdown. Only in Edmonton when the third worst team can lose 7-1 on the road the night before can come into town and bear Edmonton 5-1. Only in Edmonton where three NHL head coaches in a season including two at the same time can actually happen and all 3 of them think Justin Schultz and Brad Hunt are a legimate top pairing and give them the most minutes! Seriously if they didn't beat San Jose that one game they would be on a 20 game losing streak! That's 25% of a season spent on a losing streak. There is a special kind of incompetence that can't be duplicated even if you try tanking of creating a mess like this. I
I live near their administration office. Every time I drive past it I hope someone vandalized the shit out of the place that it makes it all across sports media. Sorry what a joke
Edit: And there was 3 jersey tosses tonight! That's officially an NHL record. Only if we can get all 16,839 jerseys on the ice. I hope every road game has an Oilers jersey on the ice. Seriously the unrest in Edmonton is getting uneasy, they don't even go out drinking anymore when good lord knows they need it.

Edmonton is a Brenden Dillon deflection bad bounce goal from the longest losing streak in NHL history.

Can't recall the Blackhawks being blown out at home for a while like they were last night by the JETS of all teams.

Edmonton is a Brenden Dillon deflection bad bounce goal from the longest losing streak in NHL history. At least they didn't set(or match) their own team record for longest losing streak this year(yet) so that's a positive.
