I think this is the first time ever for a Finnish player to get his jersey retired. It's a pretty big deal here. The channel which usually is behind a paywall is free for the weekend, with a prime time replay coming up tomorrow.

You know, I hate the Ducks with every fiber of my being, but I can't hate Teemu or what he's done. He was one of the first few hockey players I knew and idolized before I became a lifelong Kings fan. He really meant a lot to the growth of the game in Southern California. Outside of Gretz and the Gretzky era Kings, he's probably had the biggest influence on the grow of hockey here. Thanks Teemu for pretty much everything you've done for the game in your time here in Southern Caifornia.
With that said, I hope the Jets just annihilate the Ducks tonight because f*** the Ducks.

Ron Wilson once said, "In Teemu's headstone it'll say he made a thousand friends and no enemies!" Teemu is possibly the most likeable hockey player ever. I always consider Teemu to be more of a Ducks then a Jet but I'm so f***ing happy his retirement ceremony his happening Anaheim against the Jets. Just absolutely perfect for both fanbases can celebrate him. |

Do Dubnyk in his first game with the Wild gets a shutout. This is a guy who was traded for future considerations last year the lowest of the trades. I still find it f***ing weird how Minnesota Wild allows the fewest shots in the league and somehow has the worst GAA and Save Percentage in the league. An above average goalie playing for The Wild should be having a Vezina season! Dubnyk is going to get nominated for the Vezina this year motherf***er! f*** YOU MACTAVISH

Ironically edmonton traded for Scrivens by giving a third round pick. Apparently Arizona is in full tank more with a fire sale happening. Plus they are way too committed to Mike Smith |

This app that shows NHL here doesn't have commercials in it. When we are supposed to cut to commercial break I have this footage of interviews being prepared and the interviews of players after periods being taken. I kinda like this.

The goddamn Jets are the Blackhawks' bogey team this season. Three home losses to them, and the remaining two games of the series are both in Winnipeg. Now fate probably puts us in the playoffs with them...
