This app that shows NHL here doesn't have commercials in it. When we are supposed to cut to commercial break I have this footage of interviews being prepared and the interviews of players after periods being taken. I kinda like this. Cool. Kind of like watching a backhaul feed. I miss those.

The goddamn Jets are the Blackhawks' bogey team this season. Three home losses to them, and the remaining two games of the series are both in Winnipeg. Now fate probably puts us in the playoffs with them... How did Teräväinen play? First NHL goal, earned the third star of the game.

I think we are all underestimating how good the Jets are. This is a team that somehow became hot when four of their starting defensemen got injured at the same time

so it's basically just the iihf world championship then Yes, except it would be held before the season and would have all the top level players as opposed to only a few as we see currently in the WC. Also, this tournament would be controlled by the.NHL for the.most part.

In Edmonton it took 38 games for David Perron to score 5 goals this season. In Pittsburgh it only took him 5 games to score 5 goals.

I'm not surprised at all and it's just not Crosby/Malkin, I'm just making a point that this team is just rotten to the core where a guy who last season scored 27 goals with the same team only scored 5 next season halfway through this season. Yes he's playinf Crosby and Malkin but dude is clearly rejuvenated and got his passion back playing in a different winning environment. Dude brought a St. Louis winning attitude last season and clearly lost it this year from the toxic environment. Like I'm sure he would be excelling with the Islanders, Chicago, Anaheim, Montreal, etc.

Edmonton is a dumpster fire with a crappy, egotistical GM and no future. Pittsburgh is a competent club. Also, gonna listen to my first Fuel road game tonight as they play in The Arena at Gwinnett Center against the Gladiators. If they win, it'll be their 4th in 5 games. Impressive for a team that only won 6 before this trip.

2016 Winter Classic Expected to Boston vs. Montreal in Gillete Stadium www.tsn.ca/report-bruins-canadiens-set-for-2016-winter-classic-in-foxborough-1.186554I'm getting sick and tired of the Bettman Seven teams having a Winter Classic but Montreal and Boston is possibly the biggest NHL rivalry ever and it just makes way too much sense to do this. Especially after the underwhelming and forced made up rivalry between The Capitals and Blackhawks of this year (even though the game was one of the better games). Plus yay someone new in the Winter Classic at least. I was still kind of hoping to see Minnesota vs. Colorado in Minnesota instead though.

I honestly would want Minnesota vs. Dallas in Minnesota, only because it'd be the old Minnesota team vs. the new one. Can probably do the same with Winnipeg/Arizona and Colorado/New Jersey.

But the throwback jerseys would be a confusing mess considering Minnesota is one of the few teams that never really changed their debut jersey or logo outside of the mandatory jersey provider of the years (CCM, Reebok, etc). Like would Dallas wear the North Stars jersey or inspired North Stars Jersey and would Minnesota wear the last logo/jersey the North Stars wore? Winnipeg vs. Minnesota would be sick though since they are a geographical and division rival

I see it like this: The newer teams would wear jerseys that about basically revamps of their current ones, while the visiting teams would wear jerseys that are callbacks to the old franchise. So the Stars would wear North Stars, The Yotes would wear the old-school Jets, and the Devils would wear Rockies. The current logos would be on the shoulders. That's how I would see it. It'd be weird, but I think it'd work.

If you want to go back even further, you could have the Avalanche wear the Rockies jerseys and the Devils wear Kansas City Scouts jerseys.
I like that this year is Montreal vs. Boston. It's arguably the fiercest intact rivalry in the NHL and only one of the teams is the NBC/Bettman Favorite Sons.

Rangers enter the break with a 3-game win streak and winners of 16 out of their last 19. Amazing that even though they've had this nice run, they're still switching between 3rd in the Metro and having a WC spot. Hope this break doesn't stop their momentum.

What's up with the Kings?
Are they just playing possum, are they waiting until the trade deadline?
They don't like their normal selves. Right now, they wouldn't be one of the 8 West playoff teams.
My gut feeling- I don't think we get an LA/Chicago rubber match this May.

My gut feeling- I don't think we get an LA/Chicago rubber match this May. We'd be lucky to get into the playoffs, much less play Chicago this season. Honestly, it's a combination of a lot of things. We're deep in the middle of the December to February malaise this team takes on a yearly basis. However, what has me really concerned is the fact that there's a certain...complacency in the attitudes the players are showing. For weeks now, they've been saying that they know they've been playing badly and falling apart. However, they haven't shown anything to let me know that they're serious about turning things around. Add to the fact that our defensive core is a shell of what it was last year due to injuries and the Voynov thing. Not to mention that our bottom six is complete garbage most nights. Maybe the boys are just tired from playing a ridiculous amount of high-intensity hockey games. I dunno, I just want to make the playoffs. If this is our off-year to cut the fat and re-tool for next year, then so be it. Just make the playoffs, at least.
