Well, the Rasputins of hockey are at it again. They haven't lost since a pair of bad losses against Washington/Florida.

This happened during Edmonton's loss to Minny last night The fighting in the stands is even worse then the jersey throw. Katz will probably view this as fans are standing up for Lowe/MacTavish. Like I know they are already desensitized to Jersey Throwing and I think the only way it can be effective is someone throws a Edmonton Jersey on ice every road game loss. Also the perfect jersey to toss:  Also the Oilers better resign Petry and keep Todd Nelson as the Head Coach unless they can land the Babcock (LOL). Seriously Todd Nelson is proof that Eakins was an awful coach and he already has more wins this season with a depleted Oilers roster and less games coached then Eakins did this season. Also f***ing please keep Derek Roy the Yak whisper. Yakupov has 8 points within the last 8 games under Nelson. I'm still shocked they hired Eakins as the head coach who has the same level of experience and success as Todd Nelson upon hire. Like wouldn't it have made more sense to hire internally with a coach who has had great success in the AHL with your own prospects and already coached Hall, Eberle, RNH, and J. Schultz upon the lockout season? Also the only man who at one point made Justin Schultz look like the best defensive prospect in the world instead of the worst defenseman in the leageu? |

Agreed with a lot of what you're saying SS. I'm not sipping the Jelly Nelly kool-aid just yet, this tough nine game stretch that started with the Minnesota game is going to tell me at lot about how much they've actually improved under Nelson.
-Nelson will be there at least to start next season, since no experienced coach wants to touch the Edmonton job with a ten foot pole.
-Petry is gone, unfortunately.
- Roy needs to be re-signed. He's made a bigger difference to Yak's game than anything Nelson had done.

Honestly I see great things happening for NYI. Great core young talent, Tavares is one of the most underrated players in the league, new ownership, in Brooklyn, and better arena is going to make it easier attracting Free Agents

NHL on NBCSN tonight is Philadelphia at Carolina.
Thought I'd watch since the Hurricanes have a hard time getting on national TV even when they were good.
Meanwhile, in the Las Vegas drive that I've only been talking about, applicants have gotten emails saying that they can get a free jersey if they get a team by the 2016-17 season.
Those corporate backers are hellbent on getting their novelty club.

Leafs have traded Daniel Winnik to the Penguins for Zach Sill, a 4th round pick in 2015, and a 2nd round pick in 2016.
Canes have traded Jiří Tlustý to the Jets for a conditional 2015 pick (5th if Jets make playoffs, 6th if not) and a 3rd round pick in 2016.
