Brodus Clay TNA naming ideas: Bulbous Clay (if he's put on weight) Shrunkasauras (if he's lost weight) Bogus Clay Pissed Off Terry (if he's angry) - shortened to P.O Terry. Pottery. That's right, like clay. Hold your applause. No Just Clay (if copyright's an issue) - "Is that Brodus Clay?" "No, just clay". "Oh". Bulbasaurus. Just Bulbasaurus.

They change his name every week, acting like it's a new character every time.

I know they're going to try and bend over backwards to pay CM Punk in a couple months...but seriously?

Ok, here's the thing about WWE's stupid lower card philosophy. Not everyone is going to be a top guy. That's a given. The world needs wrestling's version of ditch diggers too. But WWE is a written and manufactured entertainment medium. So there absolutely should be something for EVERYONE to do, and everyone should have an identity, character or gimmick. No one should just be carted to the ring to lose in the most vanilla of fashions. There really was no excuse, say, if you have a Curt Hawkins on the roster, and are doing nothing with Zack Ryder, why you just don't team them up again. Do an odd couple tag team, like they looked to be building toward years ago when Zack started the online skits, and Curt just rolled his eyes. I'm with you, but as far as vanilla guys as low card talent, they could have at least be used as fodder to others, instead of using the IC champion as fodder for whatever reason. There's no reason why anyone on the roster shouldn't have a position. If you're healthy and you're not on TV...there's something wrong. Why have Barrett lose a match, when you could use one of these guys? Are they implying that they aren't on the same level? Who cares? Even in the Attitude Era, you have lower card guys go against main eventers every so often. Nothing wrong with that.

Some of the talent that was let go could have been tagged together (as Sean Careless said) and beef up a weak tag division. All I can think of is - Usos - Rowan/Harper every other has been split Rybaxel. and even though Cody is standing on the sidelines Dust is exclusively in tag matches, so something in regards to the Brotherhood is still there. It's a technicality, but well the Rockers didn't disappear that time Shawn went down with a knee injury for several months. And Los Matadores

Speaking of Teddy Long, did we ever find out if his grandkids' college fund was safe?

All jokes aside, this was a huge waste of potential.
JTG was doing so well in his singles run and had a neat moveset. More importantly, the guy was so over.
WWE did all it could to reduce that overness.
I just can't understand WWE's attitude towards their talent.

Do an odd couple tag team, like they looked to be building toward years ago when Zack started the online skits, and Curt just rolled his eyes. Have Yoshi Tatsu sport the Muta-esque facepaint and have him stand out. With Brodus, they did try everything admittedly. But I still thought there was midcard legs to him and Tensai as just a fun tag team. I guess my point is, if you have writers, WRITE SOMETHING. If you're paying guys, USE THEM. Why bring anyone up, pay them, have them do nothing that benefits you or them as an investment, then just cut them loose? WWE really needs to reevaluate their entire creative process. It's terrible. That's the thing that really confuses me. If I were a WWE stockholder, I'd be very upset that the company wasn't maximizing every asset they had. Not saying give them all megapushes, but use them in some way that profits the company. And yeah, if Creative isn't able to come up with anything for these guys, well, there's not much "creative" in that office, is there? Love him or hate him, even Russo had *something* going for everyone on the roster. pretty sure there's really no business plan in the entertainment world that calls for "maximizing every asset" and in fact I think stock holders would be concerned if WWE were trying to do that. In movies and TV you need extras to fill out the crowd scenes but you don't focus on them over the stars, and trying to get bit players or character actors a bigger role has often been a recipe for failure. You don't try to get your background vocalist noticed when you're promoting a new star. And in sports, not everyone gets on the field every game, but people still realize you have to pay the people who don't play, in case something happens to the people who do.

With the exceptions of battle royals/Royal Rumbles, and the "addressing the entire roster" type of segments, the wrestlers aren't really "extras" in that sense. Wrestling is different from Movies and TV. Giving a five minute match to a lower carder isn't "focusing on them over the stars". EVERYONE in a wrestling promotion should be over, because not everyone likes or is interested in the star. For every five people that come to see John Cena, at least two of those five should also want to see JTG. And things have happened to the people who play, and those guys on the bench still didn't get put in the game to fill those spots.

Honestly, will anyone really care if Jinder and Drew were replaced in 3MB? Bands change members all the time! And sometimes it's not as good as the original.

Are all these cuts to make room for masters and the sombrero? "The Eight-Figure Hombre" Chris Masters signs the biggest contract in WWE history and it pays off big time for the E.

As amusing as this is, this should've never been a "thing". It only shows how much time of a wrestler's career that WWE can squander.
