They really trolled Heath with 3MB.
"Yeah, you're doing great work bumping for the has-been 'Legends' and do good work on the mic. We're giving you your own faction! And you'll be the LEADER!"

As amusing as this is, this should've never been a "thing". It only shows how much time of a wrestler's career that WWE can squander. I think it's more an indictment on WWE than anything. They had a guy employed for seven years and left him on the bench for four of them. I don't care who it is, that should not happen.

If the current product is not drawing the money, and the network is not gaining the viewership, then I start looking at the names appearing on TV the most. Hopefully people don't call you insane for suggesting this! I think it's less crazy for suggesting this and more for suggesting Orton in particular. Regardless of Whether you think he has anything new or exciting that he can do, he's still one of the most over guys on the roster and one of the more consistent merch movers. It'd be like if you ran a sports team and needed to shed some money to come in under the cap, you're not going to get rid of your best player. If you want to pick guys on TV to cut that aren't likely to be as profitable as Orton, then you want people who have had chances to get over on that level, but just aren't as over as the proven uppercarders. A guy like ADR (which hurts since I like him), Big Show, or Kane would be more logical. These guys can be over at certain times, but none as consistently as Orton. There's a roster full of people who got pushes and failed that you could pick over a guy who does draw a profit. There's also a second aspect to releases in wrestling, namely, when you do it you still have to look at who you have coming in. While they could certainly use it better, between the NXT guys, the guys they have that aren't on NXT, and the current mid/upper card, at some point it still is a numbers game, it makes less sense to cut fewer people than to cut more as you have to accommodate for the new guys. I agree in principle, don't get me wrong. Cutting people who aren't exciting the crowds makes sense, but choosing one of the larger consistent revenue streams over guys who have had chances and not reached that level just isn't the smart way to do it. We should more be looking at "Who could get over with Sheamus's push" and less at "How many guys do I need to elevate to fill Randy's spot" because that's just inefficient.

I'm crushed over Drew most of all. What's the point of cutting two thirds of a stable that's on TV all the time?

Where is the rumor about Vickie being fired coming from? No official word has been made.
As mentioned, I really hope her last on-screen appearance wasn't in Minneapolis. I mean, it's an all time Top 5 dead or alive city, but that would just be cruel and messed up.

Wonder who is going to do a shoot first, and who will be the most bitter?

Right now she's just staying on until they are ready to officially write her off of television.

Honestly, will anyone really care if Jinder and Drew were replaced in 3MB? Bands change members all the time! And sometimes it's not as good as the original. Blink maybe the original, but AVA own!

Apparently, it's from a guy on Reddit who has some sort of connections with WWE (which appears to be legit based on stuff he's posted in the past). He also said JTG would be released a couple of hours before it was actually announced. Here's what the guy said:

It makes no sense for half the roster to be not used. Even in the most minimum ways like being an enhancement guy. Cause instead of repeating matches until everyone gets sick of them, why not mix things up and use the full scope of your roster? There's no downside to putting these guys on TV now and then. Who knows, maybe they'll gain a fan base and that can be used to build even more people up. If everyone from the top to the bottom is used to the best of their abilities, that leads to a greater program and that leads to more reasons for people to watch.

Yeah with a 3 hour show every week in addition to another 2 hour show and another show in main event, there's really no excuse not to have a role for almost everyone.
You don't NEED forty recaps or some of the things they do.
It's especially egregious given that they added that extra hour to Raw that they don't utilize it at all in a way that could benefit the most people. Instead, shows just feel interminably long, while still featuring the same people.
I don't even think anyone that was cut was a huge loss at all, BUT it's a vicious cycle too; if you book people to be completely unimportant and expendable, that's what they're gonna be.
