It's going to be hard to top "Winner gets custody of a small boy" match.
Even the Piranha Death Match stuff wasn't *that* goofy.

WCW's Asylum Match, the tiny circular cage that dropped into the ring at The Great American Bash 2000. From what I remember there was hardly any room for them to move in it.

For a relatively common gimmick match, the Ambulance Match is beyond stupid. I hate you so much, that the only way to end this is for me to beat you to within an inch of your life and then insure that you immediately receive high level medical care so that you can make a speedy and complete recovery. The thing that gets me about Ambulance Matches is, what hospital would agree to be party to something so stupid? They kind of need all hands on deck when it comes to their ambulances. "Hello, 911? I need an ambulance, my father is having a heart attack!" "I'm sorry you're going to have to wait, a demon told a pro wrestler to embrace the hate but he said no so the demon dragged his friend to hell and now they're having a fight that only ends when one of them puts the other inside the ambulance." I've always wondered how they got the ambulances. Do they rent them from an actual hospital or a prop company? I thought hospitals would be too busy to go letting WWE etc borrow ambulances. I don't think they'd get away with renting an ambulance from an NHS hospital in the UK!!

I think a Stretcher Match also has to be talked about here
Put your Opponent on nice soft padding, and roll him UP a ramp, across a finish line to win
Essentially a Stretcher Match is a Budget Cut Ambulance Match...
Especially since they always try to hype it as this brutal match.

Piñata on a pole. And I'm still unclear on the Duchess of Queensbury rules I think the Duchess of Queensbury rules was just William Regal making them up as he went along. it was actually a pretty funny idea.

Reverse battle royal. I generally like gimmick matches, but the "Dominick on a pole," viagra on a pole, and the dog poop match were the worst I've ever heard of. The Dominick match wasn't a pole match it was a ladder match. Judy Bagwell on a pole did happen though. Well duh. That's how we got Buff.

Cause Smith was the British BullDOG And Hogan was HULK. So, say him vs Andre with the loser having to be bombarded with gamma rays would have been equally as idiotic. Still waiting on the Adam Bomb match. Loser gets nuked. The Mr. Ass match, though? Not needed in today's era.

Not really sure if was just the execution of the match or the gimmick itself. But thinking about recent matches the ring of fire match at the last Summerslam was pretty bad. I mean , I suppose I can see the excitement behind an Inferno match. Setting someone on fire = danger and excitement. But the ring of fire just seemed like a really terrible version of that.

I get that the idea was "this should prevent the Wyatt family from helping Bray", but the match suffered from the gimmick's inclusion.

TNA's Elevation X was incredibly dumb. It essentially is ten minutes of stalling followed by awkward "wrestling" as they try to work on a small X platform high in their. How are they expected to wrestler when they are on what amounts to a small walkway? It is all just to build to one wrestler taking a somewhat high back bump. That is it. And they show up the next show like nothing is wrong. It is stupid.

That's pretty much how all scaffold matches work. Well, all scaffold matches are dumb then Road Warriors vs. Midnight Express from Starrcade 1986 disagrees with you.
