Episode 9: HARD TARGETThe Muscles from Brussels becomes the Ragin’ Cajun in this John Woo action film about hunting the most dangerous game: MAN. Hunting the homeless for sport is a long-standing tradition in the action film genre and John Woo comes to America for his first US film with Van Damme & Wilfred Brimley in tow. Episode 10: TIMECOPThe highest grossing Van Damme film of time! TIMECOP. The movie based on the graphic novel that spawned a sequel, a short-lived TV series and a terrible SNES game. Van Damme portrays Walker an elite officer of the Time Enforcement Commission who gets mixed up in illegal campaign fund raising, murder, deception and, of course, TIME TRAVEL. Timecop definitely holds up as a new sci-fi classic and even if you disagree with their theories about time travel, you will agree that it was definitely worth watching! Episode 11: SUDDEN DEATHIf you love hockey, Powers Boothe being f***ing awesome and vaguely Die Hard-ish storylines, then you’ll love the subject of this week’s podcast: SUDDEN DEATH. Van Damme plays a fire marshal caught in the middle of a devious plot to hold the Vice President ransom during the final game of the Stanley Cup Finals. Gah...I never got to record and send you my review for Sudden Death! I has a sad now. I GAVE YOU SO MUCH TIME!!! haha! You can still send it in, I can put it out as a mini-sode. See, I thought that you were just going to include my review into your episode. I guess not. No matter, I will get the review in this week. I've just been so busy with school lately that I'm not even sure when I'll have time to record the next episode of my own podcast.

Episode 12: THE QUESTThat's right - actor, fight choreographer, writer and now DIRECTOR. Van Damme directed The Quest which ended up being a very entertaining adventure movie that happens to feature a little kickboxing. Exotic locales, adventures on the high seas and a former James Bond (Roger Moore) tell the epic tale of a street urchin's rise to the top of an ancient tournament. Great episode covering a great flick! Enjoy the podcast and be sure to share it with friends. I remember watching The Quest on TV when I was ten or so, I wonder if it still holds up.

Episode 13: MAXIMUM RISKMAXIMUM RISK - a film that probably flew under a lot of people's radar when it comes to 90's action films, but it really delivered on action, sexiness and international intrigue! Co-starring Natasha Henstridge and directed by the famed Hong Kong action director Ringo Lam, Maximum Risk was a Van Damme hidden treasure that you need to check out! Episode 13: DOUBLE TEAMWow! And not in a good way. Double Team is quite possibly the worst Van Damme film we’ve seen so far. The guy has had some classics, but this one wasn’t even close to making sense. Mikey Rourke’s son and wife get killed by Van Damme’s team and somehow Van Damme’s the good guy in all this! Almost nothing in this film makes sense. Since we had to watch it, you should have to listen to this episode of the podcast. I’m sorry, but that’s just how it is. Episode 16: LEGIONNAIREVan Damme bounces back from two really rough films with 1998’s LEGIONNAIRE. A harrowing journey into the savage desert battleground of 1920’s Morocco, but the real battle is with the Mob and Van Damme’s own personal struggle to find redemption. Episode 17: Universal Soldier 2: The ReturnVan Damme reprises his role as Luc Deveraux to help bring down a rouge faction of the Universal Soldier program 2.0. Craziness ensues capping off with a RoadHouse worthy strip club brawl. Also Michael Jai White pulls a Dolph Lundgrend and steals the show with his smoldering intensity. Also, lots and lots of GOLDBERG. Enjoy the podcast and be sure to share it with friends. Episode 18: DESERT HEATDESERT HEAT. After 3 rough films in a rough JCVD redeems himself with a late 90’s TNT New Classic/ soft remake of Yojimbo in Desert Heat which had all the makings of an uber-classic Van Damme film. Think Twin Peaks + Van Damme set in the town next to place where Tremors happened. He plays Eddie Lomax, a former soldier who wants to kill himself, but needs Danny Trejo’s permission first. The whole film is quirky and bizarre and whacked out, but in a good way – trust us. This is a good one. ALSO - 2 chicks at the same time, brother. Episode 19: REPLICANTJCVD is back – TIMES TWO! That’s right its JCVD vs JCVD (+Michael Rooker) in the Sci-Fi/Action/Thriller that had everyone talking. Van Damme plays a serial caller called “The Torch” who Rooker just can’t catch. The National Security Force creates a genetic duplicate to help the Rook catch the Torch in a battle that is the Worst. In a special appearance we actually got to sit down with the man himself, “Jean Claude Van Damme,” who gave us a few words on this film and his “experiences” filming it. So be sure to check that out! “Jean Claude Van Damme” was portrayed by Bentley Michaels . Enjoy the podcast and be sure to share it with friends. Yeah, Van Damme does a good job in playing both parts, but the movie itself was really rough. I'm not sure how something with JCVD and the Rook could go so wrong.

Episode 20: THE ORDERJean Claude rebounds with THE ORDER, a film that is as fun as it is Indiana Jonesy. Van Damme plays Rudy Cafmeyer, a smooth thief who is marginally good at thieving. He falls into a mysterious world of religious cults, mysterious artifacts and a prophecy of WWIII proportions. There’s also Charlton Heston and enough Jewish puns to satisfy the pickiest of mensches. This one was actually really fun and surprisingly entertaining considering no one’s really heard of it. We also got another visit from “Jean Claude Van Damme” himself to talk about his experiences first hand on-set of THE ORDER. His invaluable insight is a must-listen for any true Van Damme Fanne! “Jean Claude Van Damme” was portrayed by Bentley Michaels . Enjoy the podcast and be sure to share it with friends. Episode 21: DERAILEDWow. I don’t even know where to begin with how bad this one was. Jean-Claude didn’t even show his face around the podcast studios to talk about this one, that’s how ashamed he was! Either way we had fun talking about Van Damme as a special ops guy in charge of getting some thief out of some country….ah, the plot’s not even worth talking about. Just watch “In HELL” for next week, which was actually pretty good. Enjoy the podcast and be sure to share it with friends.
