Would I take advantage of someone's desperation to get into my country to bind them to me in a sexual contract?
No, I'm pretty sure that's evil.

Seven years as a Mailman, and I've still never had to deliver one of these!

Just order a fleshlight. The shipping's lower, and it has a higher chance of falling in love with you than anyone bound by contract to tolerate you. Mail order brides are virtually always exploited into it, exploiting others to do it, or feel that they have no other option. If you really want a loveless marriage, go domestic like a true American.

Of course occasionally they'll work-out. Two needy, desperate people help each-other and build something good together. But many aren't going to work. Ya some guys are douchebags thinking they'll get a maid/sex-slave but some are also just lonely and desperate(desperation tends to lead to stupidity). On the other side the women are often either looking to just get in the country and ditch the guy or they were pushed into it and didn't want to do the deal in the first place.

If it turns into having no sex for 9 months or whatever it is, and her possibly being a lesbian, hell no.

Nope. Hell if I was gonna pay for companionship, I'd go to Vegas or whatever. Cheaper&no illusions. That said, hell no. Why pay for something you can easily get for free? There are plenty of illusions in Vegas.

There are plenty of illusions in Vegas. Well, yes; but if I wanted those I'd go see a Penn and Teller show. I ain't trying to marry them either.

I generally hate the idea of paying money to find a girlfriend via online dating (although I've done it before, had success and don't begrudge anyone who does it). But damn if I'm going to pay money to get married. And I don't mean paying for a date or wedding.

Even though there's a bunch of loopholes they use to go around human trafficking laws, I'm still surprised how this is legal.

Eh f*** no as I find the idea of paying some women to be their wife just sad and straight up f***ed up.
Though this thread reminded me of when I went to Korea in 2011 for a wedding and at the time the topic of abused mail order brides was in the news as over the past couple of years several mail brides who had come in to Korea from the places like Vietnam and The Philippines had been murdered by their South Korean husbands (one had just happened a few days before I arrived) along with many others who had beaten and abused. Also considering the same shit has happened in North America I can't help but wonder if many of the men who order them simply see these women as nothing more than their property who does the cooking and cleaning for them.
