Though I do have a habit of lifting my pinkyfinger when I drink from a cup. Hell, I wouldn't really go that far as to say that constitutes being gay. I've seen it done in the fancy high-falutin', snooty, upper class society (in other words, I saw it on the show Frasier a couple of times) so, who knows? Anyway...if that's the choice you make in life, nr1humanoid, that's fine. Whatever floats your boat, man. Just some observations I've seen that I'll share with your guys. If something comes across as being malicious, I do apologize...for that's not my intention. Plus keep in mind I just woke up and haven't had that much sleep... Most of us have heard the term "flamboyantly gay"...why is there no "flamboyantly straight" people? Someone who's REALLY hetero. Perhaps someone strutting around telling everyone that he's so hetero, it just beams off of him. In this day in age, people would just assume he's using it as a front. I don't know. And people like anm4ever claim to be bi-sexual. That's all fine and well and jolly good. Love the girl to death and all. She's good people to talk with. But also in this day in age, from what I've seen, it's more acceptable for women to swing both ways and be able to choose from which side of the fence they want to be at...but it doesn't seem to be that way for guys. This leads me to lean to the opinion that the whole gay deal is a choice. In this "stranger things have happened" world we live in, I'm sure it's a sure bet that somewhere in the world there's a guy who has been gay for quite sometime who thought to himself about giving women a try...and found he liked it and stuck to it...but some of his purple triangle buddies got on his case saying "you're only hiding who you really are..." blah blah blah. It's like if you're a guy, and you've been with other guys...you're stuck with that the rest of your life?? Once you've crossed that line sexually, there's no going back?? While I personally wouldn't do that (I think that orifice on my body is an exit only, plus I have a horrible gag reflex...to the point I gag brushing my teeth), but I don't think that's really fair. A lot of us can accept and respect that lifestyle...why can't some of the homos who have others in their circle who want to try the other side on for size do the same? Just some thoughts that have crossed my mind a time or two. Take it for what you will.

Well, that's it, innit. Look at George Michael in the 'Faith' days. Stubble... shades... leather jacket... jeans... he was SO macho, it just screamed "QUEER" rather than "Man, this dude's SO straight". On that note, you don't see hetereos "openly discussing their sexuality" or claiming to be "comfortable with who they are". You also rarely think "Jeez, stop going on about your sexuality" during a ramble by a straight person, although you may think it during one of the Warrior's Bible-length rants. I wouldn't have said being gay was a choice for me... it was more like "hmm, seems I like boobs and cock. Ah well." rather than sitting down and laboriously choosing what I liked. I generally think that people should be, erm, open to all possibilities vis a vis their potential partners, and that applies just as much to homos as heteros.

I can understand the appeal of staying in the closet. I guess a lot of fun goes out of it once everyone knows.

I dont hate gay peopole but i just dont want to be hitted on Darling, I'm sure you're irresistable, but not every gay person is going to hit on you, the same way as not every straight woman is.

Thank you Johnny....feeling's mutual....you are fun to talk to also ;D
And I do agree with you about it being easier for women than men to come out. I have seen that both as stereotype and actuality. I have spoken to my gay uncle and his boyfriend about it, and they think it will be easier for me being female and only being bisexual instead of flat out gay (not counting the different era he and I were raised in). So that's straight from the gay horse's mouth (and he said that, not me, lol).
I think it is equally hard though for bi-sexual people....we aren't completely gay, and we aren't completely straight. We don't really fit into any particular gay or straight mold. Some people I have seen and read about, actually can sometimes be more afraid of bi-sexual people (being afraid of anyone for their sexuality is wrong) because as one guy in some article I read put it, they can "hypothetically date both your son and your daughter"...
People like for other people to fit specific molds (ie:stereotyping), and when someone comes along who doesn't fit any specific mold, who "goes both ways", it kinda freaks them out...
I'm not saying you have to love the gay community, I am just asking for more tolerance. If you think that you are confused about what you want to do with your life, think about what it would be like being both unsure about your life and your sexuality...
That being said, lets all be friends, no hate, and remember everyone is different, so there really is no reason to discriminate.

But what is the gay "community". I've never come across it.

no problem with gay people. The flamboyent Queer Eye types need to stay about a foot and half away from me at all times. Why? because that's how long my arm is

I think it is very brave of all of you to come out on this board. I have gay friends, so I obviously do not discriminate.
