Dolph Ziggler's World Heavyweight Championship reign, the first one.
The epitome of a championship run designed to bury someone.

Most things John Cena.
He's booked as the top face but is hated by tons of fans. It just doesn't make much sense in terms of storylines. Forget about the merch argument for a few...the hero getting booed out of arenas. That's like going to see the newest Spiderman movie and booing Spiderman. This is so ass backwards. This is what baffles me so much about the WWE because they have guys right now who with the Cena push would be just as if not more successful in terms of sales.
Instead they focus one 1 guy. One guy out of the entire roster.

Pretty much all the booking during the horrendous HHH/Brock feud (which I do the know the reason cough cough HHH stroking his ego) as their WM match was supposed to tell a story of HHH having the fight of his life and having throw everything but kitchen sink at Brock to just to beat him. Only for this to be immediately forgotten as for the next few weeks we got HHH pretty much doing all he could to make Brock look like a total pansy and then their shitty cage match where a former UFC champion cried like a baby and then needed his fat balding manager to help him win.

What are you talking about! That was a great- "PAUL! MY KNEE! OH GOD, HELP ME, PAUL!" I mean it was pretty good- "THE ASS KICKER IS BACK-" Okay, but it was still decent- "THIS ISN'T YOUR UFC, THIS IS THE WWE!" ...yeah, it was Garbo.

Without much thought, thinking of some poor booking off the top of my head...
- ECWWE. The whole brand was a joke.
- December 2 Remember 2006.
- The Rock not getting a clean pin over Triple H in 2000.
- USO's not getting the tag-team belts until 2014.
- Most of the former World Heavyweight Championships reigns past circa 2011.
- Booker T vs. HHH at WrestleMania 19. (I'm a huge Booker fan, was severely angered by that)
- Starrcade 1997
- WrestleMania 9
That's all I can think of right now without thinking too much..
Will edit later.

I'm much more entertained by Greta Garbo than most WWE storylines, especially that one.

Molly Holly's passive-aggressive push/burial in 2002, where she finally becomes women's champion and all the King and Good Ole JR can do is make fun of her for having a large donk, as if that's a bad thing. If you're being told to bury your own talent on the air while giving them (up to that point) the biggest push of their careers, something isn't adding up.

One I haven't seen mentioned yet is Kurt Angle's 2001 heel turn at the end of the Invasion angle. He was crazy over and should have been THE top guy. Turning him heel was stupid.

Ah, but then it wouldn't make Steve Austin the top face of the company, which he obviously so needed to be, because they'd never tried that before, and he had so many good angles post-Invasion... Yeah, that pretty much sucked.

Cesaro's booking could actually be the worst in company's history.
It wasn't as though it was someone they didn't have any intention on pushing to begin with. They specifically booked him as a rising star, he got the exact appropriate reactions they were seeking, so they depushed him.
It'd be like if next week, Reigns did a quick clean job to Curtis Axel.

You have CM Punk cutting a massive promo that became one of the most exciting and hot angles in years that lead to WWE being talked about in the media (in a good way) and bringing interest to new or old wrestling fans. What do you do? Bring in f***ing Kevin Nash.

The mishandling of Sheamus and Cesaro has got to be up there for recent stuff. Both guys are so damn good. Wasted and beat down into nothing.
Earlier example would probably be the whole main event scene leading into Wrestlemania 2000. I mean.....what?

He's the reason pretty much everything goes wrong in the first place and spends the duration of the film cleaning up his own mess. He doesn't save a whole lot. Same thing with Superman in Man of Steel and Batman in The Dark Knight Rises. All fell pretty short in the hero department.
