Sandow's offense looks a lot better than Miz's, he works pretty similar to Trips back in his Hunter Hearst Helmsley days. He's also showed some nice cowardly heel chops the way he would roll out of the ring, get thrown in and keep rolling out the other side, stuff like that. I think he's substantially better than Miz in the ring, and as the Intellectual Savior of the Unwashed Masses he showed a lot talent as a talker. Besides that one match with Cena, generously, I can't remember one truly great match Sandow has had in his time on the roster, despite getting plenty of ring time. Miz had one of the worst face runs ever where he failed to deliver in the ring but as a heel, he has a respectable list of great matches. Sandow shouldn't main event. A 'Santino' role would probably be better for his longevity anyway. I recall some good matches with Sheamus. But, he's not been put in position to have great matches often. Miz got that chance and sometimes he delivered, sometimes he was pretty bad. I think Sandow is actually very good on the psychology side as a heel, and he actually did draw heat. Those days are probably over now though, as some fans caught on to the fact that he's very entertaining.

Anyone else fear that WWE are going to generic him up?
It's what they usually do when a heel starts getting over; strip away everything that the crowd like about him in the hope of getting him booed.

Imo what makes Mizdow work is that this gimmick is such a stark contrast from the Intellectual Savior.
Sandow does his comedy thing, but STILL talks and carries himself with that "I'm better and smarter than you" tone and attitude of his former persona. It's no different from other tropes like "little kids swearing/using sexual references" or "upper class elite white people using hip hop slang".

I'm a Mizdow fan too but to say he's above being the Miz's lackey is silly in a lot of ways. If I were Sandow I'd love to be Miz's lackey considering he's already getting a Daniel-Bryan-like reaction from crowds like the last time Miz put someone under his "pro" wing. And also Miz has done it all in this biz, lest anyone forget he's a Triple-Crown holder (Grand Slam if you want to count the US title as a stand-in for the Euro) and was back in the day part of THE most over tag team in the WWE in The In Crowd with John Morrison-- Miz is doing the Y2J dance where he creates spaces for other Superstars to find a way on the card and thank god they gave the extra spot to Mizdow otherwise he'd still be languishing in midcard hell with Stevie Richards' old gimmick.

At no time has Miz been over enough for any of those accolades on his own though. He's 'done it all' just because that's how they decided to push him, regardless of fan support or not.
Further, I don't know that I could name ANY great Miz matches. Maybe one with Morrison? I sorta recall that one.

Further, I don't know that I could name ANY great Miz matches. Maybe one with Morrison? I sorta recall that one. His match with Kofi for the US title in 2009 was pretty good, as were his matches with Cena that weren't that overbooked Mania 27 match where both guys got concussions about 5 minutes in and it was about the Rock at the end anyway. His matches with Ziggler and Cesaro were alright too. He's not like some ring general who can lead guys like Khali to good matches or anything, but he's capabale of kinda holding his own. With his big push though, again, with the thin talent pool, the guys they could have pushed being kinda old or having terrible mic skills (MVP and JoMo respectively), the brand split and the storylines going at the time, he wasn't the worst guy you could have given those acolades too.

Mizdow = Most over at Smackdown 15. Miz's segment closes out the show. Coincidence?? *don't answer that*
