Almost everything about that trailer was perfect, and my hype levels are through the roof. The exception was the Spidey costume/eyes. No. It doesn't work like it does in a 2D cartoon. You've designed dozens of superheroes for the movies now and not done this. Don't start now. Bad Marvel. Stop it. Sony has a perfectly good costume waiting. Listen to the end of the trailer. His eyes make a mechanical camera shudder sound. They aren't cartoony, they're mechanized. It's still 100% cartoon, even with a shutter sound, though. If he's got camera shutters in his suit to take pictures for Peter Parker, that's one thing, but just to close his eyes dramatically? Eh.

Seriously this looks like an avengers movie. It looks more Avengers than Age of Ultron. That was my biggest takeaway from the trailer. As I'm watching it and recognizing all of the familiar Marvel superhero faces, I'm thinking to myself, "uhh...how is this not just considered 'The Avengers Part III'?" We have yet to see Zemo or anything but a 2 second shot of Crossbones. the Russos have said that when you watch it you will definitely get a feeling that it's a Cap movie. My guess is that we've only really seen ACT 2 of the story so far.

A friend of mine thinks Spidey looks too cartoony.
I get where he's coming from, but still
SPIDER-MAN!

Dammit, where's Frye's 'Shut Up and Take My Money' when I need it?
Seriously, the movie looks amazing. It's a good STORY they are constructing that pays off a lot we have seen up until now and you know they still don't have all the cards on the table. As someone above said, no Zemo and a quick look at Crossbones, so still more to come.
As to Underoos, for the first time in... well, ever, I'm excited about seeing Spider-Man in a movie. I only say the first Raimi in theaters and just never was interested in seeing more. But this? This I can get behind. This I'm excited about. This makes me want Disney to make so much money, they just buy Sony out and bring Spidey home before Sony screws it up again *cough*Venom*cough*.
Supes, Bats, over to you. I'm going to see both, but way more hyped for Civil War.

My guess is that we've only really seen ACT 2 of the story so far. It's been said that the airport fight (which is 15 minutes long!) is only the middle part of the film, the "splash page", if you will. That said, I think the showdown with Cap/Iron Man (and the same one with Bucky eventually joining in) will be part of the film's climax.

Poor DC. I'm hyped still for Bats v Supes, but two weeks before it comes out, and Marvel says:
"Hey guys, look what we got!"

I definitely like the overall look of the Sony suits better, but as we've seen with Captain America's more comic book-like suit in Avengers getting nixed for his WWII-style suit, Marvel will change it up if it doesn't quite work.

Marvel released pictures of Spider-man! size spoiler Also a close up of the eyes so you can see the camera shutter mechanisms on them. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} The shutters were a fantastic way to get the expressive eyes without just throwing plausibility out the window. I'd have never thought to do that. Kudos to whoever came up with that.

After Deadpool did it so well, I'm not surprised by the animated eyes. Also

I know at least one of the actors, I wanna say Anthony Mackie, said this would essentially be Avengers 2.5.

Found this on Reddit: It's basically Blu-Ray-quality shots of nearly every moment in the trailer: imgur.com/a/6pOx3 (A lot of details people might've missed can be found here)

Personally I'd've kept him outta the trailers it'd give his entrance in the movie more punch.
But it was still a cool trailer.

This is seriously the most stacked cast I've seen in a comic book movie. I'm pretty excited for this one, poor DC lol. Honestly, if it wasn't for me being a lifelong Batman fan, I wouldn't even give DC a look. Marvel has left them in the dust, let's hope though that DC makes a run though because it will only make these movies better in the future.
