As noted, Destination America has dropped the 8pm EST airing for Ring of Honor TV on Wednesday nights. They still have the 11pm EST airing but the first is no longer scheduled. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Destination America is trying out new programs in the 8pm time slot but this is not a good sign for ROH. This Wednesday an episode of "Bigfoot In America" is scheduled while "Mountain Monsters" is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5th.

Meltzer noted that unlike the TNA roster, ROH talents were informed of the 8pm EST showing being dropped before the news broke. They were given the excuse that Destination America is trying out new programming in the time slot.

Man this is just terrible news but hopefully it is just them messing around with the time slot and not them slowly trying to move wrestling off the channel all together. Though it does seem like it would be better to get off of Wednesday since they do have two other rival shows. Maybe Tuesday or Thursday would be better for them. But at least ROH is being honest with its talent

(BALTIMORE, MD) – Ring of Honor announced that their Chief Operating Officer, Joe Koff, will host a Reddit AMA (“Ask-Me-Anything”) on Wednesday, August 12th from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET. The event will be held within the “Squared Circle” sub-reddit.

All fans of pro-wrestling are invited to ask questions of the head of the promotion that boasts the best wrestling on the planet.

RODERICK STRONG RE-SIGNS WITH RING OF HONOR



(BALTIMORE, MD) – Ring of Honor announced Tuesday that Roderick Strong, aka Mr. ROH, has re-signed with the company. The “Triple Crown Champion” was most recently featured as a challenger for the Ring of Honor World Championship against Jay Lethal at Death Before Dishonor XIII in Baltimore. The spectacular match ended in a draw as the wrestlers battled through the 60-minutes of regulation time allotted for World Championship matches.

“I’ve set the bar really high for myself and anyone who comes after me,” Strong said. “I’ve got unfinished business in Ring of Honor and winning that ROH World Championship for a second time is of the utmost importance!”

Strong will once again find himself battling with champions as he takes on IWGP Champion “Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada at Field of Honor in Brooklyn, NY on August 22nd.

Even before he won the World Championship, Jay Lethal claimed he was the greatest CHAMPION in Ring of Honor - period. So after Lethal defeated Jay Briscoe for the World Championship, speculation mounted as to how Nigel McGuinness would handle the situation. When Lethal declared he would not vacate either of his championships, the ROH Head Matchmaker warned him that to be a dual champion in Ring of Honor means to be a FIGHTING champion. Now on September 18th, Jay Lethal is slated to defend BOTH of his championships in the same night!

Bobby Fish earned his World Television Championship opportunity as the victor of the Number One Contender tournament on our recent Las Vegas stop of the AFTERSHOCK TOUR. Although he is a former World Tag Team Champion, this would be Fish's very first time holding singles gold in Ring of Honor!

His partner - and fellow former World Tag Team Champion - Kyle O'Reilly has tapped out Jay Lethal TWICE. In the main event at the same Las Vegas stop where Bobby Fish earned his opportunity, O'Reilly forced the World Champion to submit. He also tapped out Lethal in Milwaukee. And no one can forgot the incredible 30 minute time limit draw between Lethal and O'Reilly last April in Hopkins, MN. Kyle O'Reilly has proven he can go toe-to-toe with the champ and it was only a matter of time before he was signed for a World Championship opportunity. Ah thanks. I figured it'd just be an extension to his contract as a freelancer where ROH have first refusal but they must have offered him a really good deal to get him to drop his EVOLVE and PWG gigs.
