Not sure of the source but my bud who went to the show with me texted this morning to sya reports are that Cliff Compton suffereda seizure backstage before the show and was taken to the hospital.

Oh, yeah, minor observation. I was across the ring from the commentary booth all night, and let me tell you, Kevin Kelly looks like no-one so much as he does Arnold J. Rimmer. Were you sitting next to or near the chick who wouldn't kiss the Romantic Touch? What's her problem? |

I'm hoping they use Stevie -- who is in incredible shape -- as a one-off against Jay Lethal (and maybe a showcase tuneup before that) like they have used several other "special attractions" a la Liger, Samoa Joe and others in recent memory.

ROH TV was a blast. Nothing blow away but all fun. Cedric v. Caprice was real good and I cannot wait to see where it all goes with Nana and the Envelope.

Midway through watching Field of Honor now and I tell you what, the card didn't impress me too much on paper but it has been a kick-ass show so far. Gauntlet match went a little long and was a little slow at times but that's my only complaint. And even then the way they managed to build like 4 different feuds up in one match was very effective. 8-Man Tag was a baseball game that occassionally broke out into a wrestling match, but it was amazing. Cole/Daniels was an excellent opener. Can't wait to watch the rest of the show.

I was wondering what was said in that post-show promo, as we were on the opposite side of the ring and couldn't hear it. Kyle O'Reilly gets better and better every time I see him. I can't believe I wasn't on the bandwagon early.

Jacobs was the guy who gave the "The Decade are trying to help the future" angle any credibility. Whitmer is just such an over the top a-hole heel that it just makes Colby look like an idiot for following him. |

He looks like an idiot for sure, but realistically there's not much upside for Colby as an ROH character that it's really damaging anyone. He has the appearance of a brittle, timid young upstart wrestler who whether or not he believes BJ is looking out for him, he's pretty much Colby's only way in the door right now. There's a believable co-dependency between them. But I do agree with 2Cold's post that he is quite the uncharismatic presence. Perfect for the pushover role that he's in, but outside of that I don't think there's much of a purpose for him. |
