I liked them together but just had a hard time buying the ENTIRE ROSTER being afraid of R-Truth and The Miz. Well R-Truth did have that sword

My memory is fuzzy, I know they got their asses kicked by Cena shortly before their big tag match at Survivor Series, but didn't the Rock also punk them out before then too?

Only time I really enjoyed Truth was here. He was hilarious - you can find most of the funny bits in that Slammy promo from 2011. My favorite thing he did was try and copy Miz using the word 'epiphany'. Whether or not he meant to do it, he botched the pronunciation, and it was hysterical. No, no, peak R-Truth was when he yelled "I want my son back," at John Cena, in a single action becoming like unto a poster in a live thread with obscure references and jokes about the product. "LET'S GO SEE THE NEW JOHN CENA MOVIE; I WANT MY SON BACK!!" Not even Cena got that one.

You know, Cena and Rock stuff aside, every time I see threads about the Awesome Truth I'm really bummed that I missed it.

I liked them together but just had a hard time buying the ENTIRE ROSTER being afraid of R-Truth and The Miz. Except Booker T, who was just going to the bathroom.

I liked them together but just had a hard time buying the ENTIRE ROSTER being afraid of R-Truth and The Miz. Entire roster except for Zack Ryder, who Triple H personally pedigreed. I remember that segment getting removed from wwe.com for some reason too, can't remember why.

It was glorious. I marked when Miz and Truth did the chest bump last year during the Mizco Inferno segment.

"But Hunter, we're girls!" - Beth Phoenix
The moment that was said I completely lost interest.

I liked them together but just had a hard time buying the ENTIRE ROSTER being afraid of R-Truth and The Miz. It would have made sense if they actually were deranged, instead of doing the same stuff that any other heel had been doing for years.

And 2011 Miz was an attention whore who flew into a violent rage and beat the shit out of people whenever the spotlight wasn't on him.

I do agree with the HIAC ending being amazing, and I just wish they didn't have to use all the momentum they built to make Triple H, John Cena and The Rock look strong. They could have done so much differently with them and Punk during that period, sighhhhhh.

Truth has been so wasted since 2011. To be fair, he is an atrocious face.

I liked Truth right after he turned because he was f***ing nuts. He was one of the last people that I could buy as being dangerous because he was a total nut bag.
It was a pretty cool angle, it just seemed to come at the wrong time. It was hard to take it seriously that these two guys could wreck the show to the point superstars feared for their livelihoods when the Nexus was such a a big front a year or so before them.

I liked them together but just had a hard time buying the ENTIRE ROSTER being afraid of R-Truth and The Miz. Perhaps. It's just the fact that they were booked as legitimate threats and were unpredictable that actually made them fresh. It would've been nice if they continued with that and actually had them win the tag titles too.

First thing that comes to mind for me about "The Awesome Truth" is the time R-Truth compared Air Boom to a sneaky fart.
