I'm a female and Nikki appeals to me. Yes, the old one dimensional mean girl character sucked, but I like the whole tough, fearless character they have transitioned her to. I think it works for her and I think there is room for someone who can be tough and beautiful, ala Trish. I will admit that for me Total Divas has been the best thing WWE has done for some of these girls. Before the show I didn't care for any of them because they didn't give me a reason. At least on TD we get to see their personalities. Heck its part of the reason I'm an Uso fan as well. Jimmy is gold on that show. As is Daniel Bryan. But my point is, saying that Nikki would never appeal to a female audience is just as wrong as saying that only AJ can appeal to a female audience or only Naomi or whoever. We ladies are just as varied as men and different things/people appeal to us just like it does men. A few people here and there who inexplicably like Nikki doesn't equate to a wider female audience. Certainly nothing near what they need to build a division on. Uh, it's not exactly inexplicable when she's explained why she likes her in a fair amount of detail. Just because you don't like The Bellas doesn't mean folks who do are weird or something. Assuming as much is the equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting until they go away.

I haven't watched RAW for about two weeks, so it's entirely possible Nikki has somehow become tough and fearless. Otherwise yes, it's beyond explanation. Her character has always been a superficial, shallow, bitchy, mean girl who only recently told her own sister she wished she died in utero. It'd be like watching Back To The Future and admiring Biff.

It's not like AJ was thinking, "I'll sleep with Bryan and Punk, and then I'll become Raw GM because of it". That's just how it turned out, but that wasn't her motive for being with them. And I highly doubt the Bellas both thought "Man, I know, I'll sleep with/marry this dude, seeing as he's the main star and get propelled to new heights!", especially considering Brie 'n Bryan were dating before he'd even had a sniff of the main event IIRC. Yet people give 'em shit for it, including AJ. I agree.

AJ isn't much different in terms of being a bitch though. Also a nice majority of the people the Twins rt on their twitter are females who are wearing their merchandise AJ is a bitch to other bitches. There has been only two times in the WWE I heard a diva call/implied another diva is a cock sucker the lowest kind of catty insult. 1. During the 2004 Diva Search when there was the terrible naughty mouth uncensored live mic contest 2. The Pipebomb shell promo. Nikki Bellas bitchiness seems to only really happen when she's a heel and it's so over the top and cartoony like did anyone take "I wish you died in the womb seriously?" Or ruining Nataylias birthday in Calgary? Like its Lay Cool levels of cartoony. AJ Lee bitchiness seems to be happening just now and it just seems so petty and forced like she's reaching 2008 HHH levels of Mary Sueness. Like its hard not to roll your eyes when she says something edgy or acts like a bitch to another babyface diva like her ditching Emma is pretty much the divas equivalent of HHH pedigreeing Londrick

I "kind of" like the Bellas. As in, I find them fairly entertaining when they're on my screen in the already-mad world of wrestling. I'm not looking for them to be feminist icons or anything.
