GTA V is also superb I love Trevor. I really do. An amazing character. Trevor is actually my least-favourite character in the franchise, which is the only reason V doesn't top San Andreas for me. I just don't find anything redeeming about him. That's the thing about Trevor. He didn't ask for redemption. He was an unapologetic psychopath.

Unapologetic psychopaths don't make compelling protagonists for me, though I understand the appeal of the character.

Trevor was so crazy, he became entertaining for me. Plus, the people who got the brunt of his violence were usually bigger scumbags than him.

while 5 is probably the better game, vice city is more fun.
nothing beats spawning a tank on to the police after racking up a massive wanted level in vice city. this is the one thing that the last two saints row games have over the last few g.t.a. games, the ability to do stupid things with cheat codes.
I will admit that even though I picked vice city I didn't expect it to be the more popular choice in the poll.

Personally IV is the only one of the 3d versions that I ever cared enough to play through the story and didn't just get bored and start blowing shit up Though I did have a lot of fun in GTA 1 and 2.

I like GTA V because it allows me to explore the contrasts that life brings.
Some days I would get into my boat and take a relaxing trip sailing far out to sea, admiring the beautiful sunsets and enjoying the tranquility of the open expanses and solitude that only the ocean can provide
Other days, I would just murder hookers.

I liked driving around the countryside in San Andreas while listening to 'Them Bones' by Alice in Chains, pretending I was in the Street Fighter II Animated Movie being chased down by Bison.

GTA V hand's down. The character's all have different, interesting characteristics and stories. The scenery and quality of the game is top notch. It's probably one of my favorite games of all time and I just got it last year.
I just hope there's DLC for the game eventually. Oh, and heists would be awesome.
