Question is clear from the title. You can pick 2. I thought any more than that and it would be far too lopsided.
IV and 3 for me, always. IV is my favourite game ever

Vice City
I hated IV. I didn't warm to Nico and the vehicle movement was awful

3... Was so glad they got rid of the birds eye view graphics
vice city, great soundtrack and just all around fun game.
I have to agree I couldn't get into number 4, No I don't want to go bowling with you, f*** off and leave me alone.
Still need to pickup number 5 at some point.

I don't know how Rockstar can get this so wrong, considering how relentless both Claude and Tommy came across as. In a game series where you commit crimes and have the ability to virtually be unstoppable, why do they feel to try to give the character a soft side? Are you telling me that the person I just used to commit a 15 car explosion and killing 12 police officers and shot down 2 helicopters is really...a nice guy deep down? Come ON! They got it right in III and Vice City. The characters were pretty hedonistic, which is fine in a video game about committing crimes.

3 was what got me into the series. I have pumped the most hours into that game. 5 is quickly gaining, as I really liked Michael as a protagonist, and when I started hating Franklin quickly (his story was a copy of CJ), he quickly grew on me. I'm hoping there's more to come from this (and there will be. There HAS to be a single player expansion pack in the pipeline. Right?) 3... Was so glad they got rid of the birds eye view graphics vice city, great soundtrack and just all around fun game. I have to agree I couldn't get into number 4, No I don't want to go bowling with you, f*** off and leave me alone. Still need to pickup number 5 at some point. Don't you have a 360? If so, I have the PS4 and 360 version, if you want my 360 version, let me know via PM.

If you all have different opinions from mine and disrespect continues to be paid to IV, I may have to lock this thread in a childish huff. You've been warned.

FINALLY put on THE LOST AND THE DAMNED and it played like a brick!

Vice City, that game was something that the later GTAs clearly arent focused on being, FUN!
everything about that game was so much fun, San Andreas was too but something about the 80s setting made Vice City so much fun
CJ was a little bit more annoying to me and GTA4 and 5 can just f*** off

CJ was a little bit more annoying to me CJ would have been okay if they didn't try to make him this conflicted character who cared about his family. A game where you sneak into someone's mansion and steal a rhyme book and slit a bunch of guards throats, that game doesn't need depth to the character. Otherwise it conflicts what the actions that you cause.

San Andreas is just SO much better than Vice City. People are blinded by a killer soundtrack.

San Andreas is just SO much better than Vice City. People are blinded by a killer soundtrack. I totally agree on both counts. I know I'm in the minority for IV being my favourite but I thought for sure San Andreas would run away with this.

III for the impact it had, San Andreas as a game. Didn't care for IV, haven't played V yet...and I never really got into Vice City.

Vice City and then 5. San Andreas was pretty good but all that pushback stuff and the dating just got in the way. 4 was just depressing.

San Andreas is just SO much better than Vice City. People are blinded by a killer soundtrack. Well, while you could do more in SA, it wasn't nearly as fulfilling. The asset missions in VC are vastly superior. Most of the characters are vastly superior in VC. The environment is vastly superior in VC, given that some of the roads in SA were almost unnavigable and almost all of San Fierro was shit. There was also all sorts of bugs that could corrupt your game, whereas there weren't nearly as many in VC. There were things I liked more in SA, such as swimming, the amount of cars, driving school and so forth...but overall it just didn't have as much interesting stuff to make up for the amount of wide space you were given.

Vice City and V.
Vice City was like playing through Scar Face with better music and should likely be revisited. V is a fantastic showing of LA so I am a bit biased, but it was also the one I had the most fun with.
