Having to tape several shows at once is what keeps NXT from being must see television.
They should look into doing double tapings as opposed to an entire month of programming at once, because there certainly is more demand for the NXT product.

The block takings. Without question.
I love the crowd. after years of watching Raw go to Bumf***, Indiana and watching a crowd sit on its hands for two to three hours it's good seeing a crowd that gives everything a chance and legitimately enjoys themselves. I don't buy the college hipster criticism. You saw the way they got invested in Sami Zayn, they are wrestling fans just like any of us. That title win is as special a moment as WWE has ever created. Emma and Adam Rose didn't get over due to people being ironic, they got over because NXT is produced by people who have a handle on wrestling booking rather than people trying to write "entertainment". Not even a specific television style of it, just "entertainment". People who aren't pet projects (that you need to make look really strong) often just get half assed and cast aside. They aren't going to get over. God forbid a crowd gets creative and makes an effort with new performers. It's not like they're chanting Greatest Ever at Tye f***ing Dillinger.

I can understand why do that to save money. , as NXT supposedly doesent make much money

Mojo Rawley. I mean, he's all about being hyped, but he gets gassed running to the ring, and his finisher involves sitting down and coming to a dead stop. That's like, the least hype thing ever.

Actually, it probably already does, because I'm willing to bet that NXT is the reason many people bother keeping the Network, but that's not going to reflect on a balance sheet.

There's nothing wrong with an Earthquake splash... other than he doesn't seem heavy enough for it to be his finish... though it still would work as a signature.

But it just doesn't fit his hype schtick. Even the Pounce would be better, fitting with all the running around he does etc. But a f***ing sit down? Nope, not buying it.

My only real issue is that performers who CLEARLY don't have it, will get plenty of ring time to try and improve. On one hand, it's developmental so that's kinda the point. On the other hand, a part of me wants to see that ring time go towards giving better talents a spotlight whether they be developmental or main roster guys.

The commentary is number one. It's very hit or miss. Alex Riley and Byron Saxton in particular had been notably bad in the past. Renee Young and Tensai (his commentary name escapes me) are pretty spotty. Though Rich Brennan seems pretty good, and I really miss Regal there. Secondly their Tag division is also pretty weak at the moment. But IIRC it hasn't ever really been that strong. The Ascensions reign was basically a bunch of squashes over nobodies. The women's division needs more talent that are ready to go whether it's a Naomi or a new signing. There are five women at this point and that's not exactly sustainable. The tag team division is a big area where Triple H and company don't seem to be trying that much. Instead of signing established teams, or at least having an awesome title match, they rely a bit on gimmicks. It's a lot like the main roster in fact but the main roster is lower at the moment because of the Sandow crap. Very observant of you. The chants and the commentary are more pet peeves than outright problems.

The worst thing about NXT is that eventually they move to the main roster, which given how shit regular WWE programming and PPV's are booked, feels like a demotion. All the energy and momentum they have in NXT grinds to a halt when they move from the wrestling show to the comedy variety bullshit.

Emma, Adam Rose, and Xavier Woods were already comedy variety bullshit characters on NXT to begin with. I doubt the same fate is going to happen to the "NXT Five" or anyone else with any real star potential.

When NXT is being booked with an entirely different philosophy to WWE, problems are naturally going to occur. We've already seen with Ryder, the summer of Punk, and Daniel Bryan that when given a surefire angle, feud or push to book, they fail time and time again. I dread to think that Vince and his cronies will do with Finn Balor, for example.

It's gotten too big for its own good and the fans' expectations are too high. It's supposed to be the developmental promotion, but a lot of the fans don't get the memo and expect too much from it, sometimes hindering people's developmental process (the Bayley/Eva Marie match is a blatant example of this- where Eva Marie, someone who pretty much SHOULD be in NXT to develop, got booed out of the building so badly she left in tears for "not being good enough"- which is why she should be in NXT in the first place.) That's actually a good point, however, in the case of Eva Marie, she never should have been in a WWE ring let alone NXT, the fact that Eva Marie is the "big dog" coming down to wrestle Bayley says less about the NXT's effectiveness and more about WWE's systematic failure. Eva should be doing NXT house shows amd training off camera until they're confident she can wrestle competent enough, or just make her a valet or something. I agree with your take that she shouldn't have ever wrestled on TV. But those fans were real assholes about it. You know, boo a little bit or laugh if she screws up, but having a bunch of hurtful chants raring to go is just ridiculous. I'm not really into the crowd myself, so much damn chanting. They are usually lively enough though.

The good point about Eve Marie could also be applied to the criticisms about commentary. Riley and co are in nxt because they are rubbish, it is the wwes wish that a decade in nxt makes at least one of them passable by the time Cole retires.
My one gripe would be the backstage segments. I sometimes suspend disbelief and imagine they are in a big area. That is ruined when they show a main eventer warming up in what is unmistakably the lobby of a college campus building.
