Oh I get the appeal of Lesnar vs Reigns. I won't care for it myself but, to quote the late Gorilla Monsoon, when you pitch the irresistible force meeting the immovable object then it's certainly got huge appeal. Or at least should. WWE will likely have both guys trade wins on TV every week from February onwards and get to WM and nobody will give a crap, but even so. It's probably the closest thing to a 'dream' match they can do right now. Make Lesnar look like a monster and protect his appearances. Make Reigns look like a monster and shield him from over-exposure - stick the two monsters in the ring and unless you're horribly incompetent you should have a lot of intrigue. Bigger problem for me is post WM when the "now what?" question is asked of Reigns. "Believe dat!", mightn't be enough. At least post-Mania he's probably almost immediately being cashed in on by Rollins plus there's always a feud with Ambrose, so that'd buy him sometime. Granted, you put Reigns against either of them the crowd'll probably back them. Maybe not Rollins but definitely if he faced Ambrose, especially if they try and turn him heel first given how much crowds see through that these days. And there's always room for a showdown with Cena or defending against Bryan when he's healthy given he's still owed his shot. Again though, crowd might side with him against Cena depending on how he's doing going into that (it could just as easily turn out like Cena / Lashley, where the crowd popped for Cena's moves and sat on their hands for Lashley's) and they're sure as hell going to be booing Reigns if he faces Bryan, especially if he wins. Though it seems counterproductive anyway to paint Reigns and Lesnar as being on each other's level. I kind of think they should just have Reigns outright squash him. Why not? He's on the way out anyway, the match isn't going to be any good, and that'd be more impressive than just beating the guy Cena wiped the floor with at Night of Champions and probably will do it again with at the Rumble.

Actually a Reigns vs Rollins vs Ambrose 3 way might work for a summer programme. Reigns as the babyface, Rollins as the heel and Ambose as the psychotic tweener who doesn't win the feud but comes out of it looking better than anyone, would suit me fine.
They could do a storyline of 'whose side is he on?' with Ambrose. One week it looks like he's siding with Seth, the next with Roman..."the lunatic fringe, he isn't anyone's ally MAGGLE!"
I'd actually dig that a lot.

They're doing a microcosm of this Lesnar/Reigns build on NXT with Bull Dempsey and Barin Corbin. Two undefeated beasts, one of them is actually over and the other (Bull) is getting the 'they're shoving him down our throats' reaction. They seem to be poised for an impending feud, so I want to see how NXT creative handles the booking and fallout of one of them losing their streak to the other.
Also, I would rather see Reigns defeat Rusev than Lesnar, and have Ziggler be the one to topple Lesnar in a hard fought victory. I remember loving the first Cena/Lesnar match after Lesnar returned from UFC, and the thought of another mixed-martial-arts-type battle along with Ziggler's selling and his ring general skills might make it the best WrestleMania title match of all time. Assuming Lesnar doesn't drop the title to Cena at Rumble, I hope Zigger wins the Rumble after it comes down to him, Reigns, Rusev, and Ryback/Cena/Rollins/RKO/etc.

What sucks about this Big Show feud is that beating him means so little for Reigns right now. Reigns winning is inevitable, and it should be, but it shouldn't feel like it. It kinda should. He should destroy the Big Show and even though it's the Big Show and nobody cares about him any more, it'll still be a bit of a rub. All this feud is for is for a tag line "....he beat the Big Show in 3 minutes..." But that's pretty much all the Big Show can offer now. A close-fought, nailbiting contest will do irreparable harm to Reigns' push as he'll have been taken to the wire by someone who probably Michael Cole would be booked to beat 4 times out of 7 these days. That, I would actually like. But, they're going to try and milk sympathy for Roman, and make him sell and sell and fight and fight and barely topple the world's Largest Athlete...like we already know he will.

Dean Ambrose has had a much bigger push than reigns as I've said before. It's not that Reigns is getting a bigger push than either of the other two shield members, they are just pushing him in a more blatant way. Ambrose only got a bigger push because of Reigns' injury. When the Shield split up, the plan seemed like it was for Ambrose and Rollins to waste away in a "midcard" feud while Reigns dealt with "the bigger threat" of Orton and HHH.

Okay, so....can we just go ahead and bookmark this thread for when the Reigns megapush does come? Because it's coming like a freight train (not the wrestler).

I hate him a lot and I look forward to wallowing in the hatred when he inevitably wins the Royal Rumble. Having said that, I have to disagree. From a personal standpoint, it seems like they're trying to cram him down everyone's throats. It seems as if it's a foregone conclusion that he's going to walk out of WM 31 as champion. He's great tho and I hope he does win the Rumble and the the title at Mania

Boards like these would be a lot more pleasant to read if the leader of North Korea was a Roman Reigns fan... Kim Jong Un does like Reigns, but prefers Ziggler.

But nah, I've got this thread bookmarked. We'll see which side is wrong by the Rumble since people almost never fess up.

This thread kind of reads like someone in 1995 saying "What do you mean Bret's being pushed aside and being swept away for Shawn Michaels? Shawn Michaels the top guy? He may never wrestle again, while Bret and Undertaker are set to feud for the title and Diesel's probably gonna win the Rumble!" Watching the build to the 96' Rumble right now on the Network, actually. Man, they were all over HBK's nuts, weren't they? I know hindsight is 20/20 but even back then, I can't imagine it being some big surprise that he was winning the Rumble. It's so bad that the announcers sound like total cornballs when they are screaming "BACK TO BACK RUMBLE WINS! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!"
