Since we will soon be deprived of his company on the commentary table, I figure we should take a moment to reminisce about The Professor's memorable moments as TNA's lead announcer. Obviously, nothing will ever top "Whats so and so doing in the Impact Zone???" But still, what are some of your favorites?

I hate Tenay. He's like a parody of wrestling commentators. He's such a cornball that it was impossible to take anything he said as genuine. Shout out to JTG Fan for posting the greatest moment in the history of our sport. I loved Don for doing that.

I actually thought Tenay was great in WCW, but in TNA he has largely sucked a giant dick, and not in the fun way I would watch other people do in my own time.

It can't help it. I like me some Mike Tenay. He's stunk in TNA, but I think he's amazing.
He's just a little weasel man that quietly hypes stuff and gets worked up like it's real. Maybe he needs a three man or just not doofey Taz, I don't know. I would hire him if I could set him up right.

He is a very successful mantis, most successful one since Zorak.

He called the first Joe/Angle confrontation perfectly. "OLYMPIC SLAM! OLYMPIC SLAM!" Honestly I liked him when he was with Don. Since he's been with Taz he's largely sucked but still had the odd good moment. His call of Aries winning the World Title at Destination X was pretty good.

Also So say they were looking at the monitors but what ever they were doing why does the director go to that shot in a taped show? No crowd shots they could go to? Yeah, someone had to have seen that shot during editing and knew how bad it looked, and yeah, a crowd shot or even a moment of "technical difficulties" kind of screen or black screen would be better.

The problem is that he's a good pure wrestling announcer miscast as a 'storyteller' in the vein of a Jim Ross or Tony Schiavone.

This is the same company that had someone yelling, "Cut!" and the aftermath of a scene in a taped show and all. Nobody edits these things.

He's so awful. His one shining moment was that one goofy facial expression when West heeled on him.
