I think Reigns is great and I haven't cooled on that in the slightest, but its partially BECAUSE of that that I want that they should have Bryan win the RUmble and beat Lesnar. I don't want to see Reigns become damaged goods because of the wwe stubbornly pushing him when he's not totally ready and when a huge crowd favorite is being passed over for him. He'd get slapped with the "shoved down our throats" label and that tends to stick for awhile. Reigns doesn't deserve that. Imo since Bryan's career is probably not going to last that much longer they should use him while they still can for as much high profile stuff as possible and let Reigns simmer for a bit.

What is it that they see in Reigns? Why are they so gung-ho to push him this hard when it's pretty clear he's not ready for the spot yet? From what I've seen, it's because he's really badass when he does a run-in or takes a hot tag. Even the look, I don't really see it. He's this stocky guy, build like a little bit taller Rhyno, in good shape but covers up most of his physique. I guess he's handsome, but it's hard to really tell because he's always making smirky cool guy faces. I really don't want this to be the atmosphere, with fans not accepting certain guys getting pushed, but I don't see much to get behind with Roman Reigns and WWE has had guys that are more over than him and more ready for a push and squandered it purposefully, so it's hard to feel sorry for them.

If Bryan isn't going to win, and you want Reigns to be "The Guy", isn't it foolish to put Bryan in the match? Your almost assuring Reigns winning gets a negative reaction.

I do feel sorry for Reigns. I do see potential in him, and I think WWE's going to wreck it by pushing him when he's not able to handle it. And of course even if he knows he's not ready, which there's no telling, he's not going to ask them to slow it down because, you know, in Vince's mind that'd probably be akin to saying you slept with his mom or something.

Bryan V Lesnar would be the better match and storyline.
but at the end of the day Reigns is alot younger than Bryan, they don't need to give all that heat they got on Brock to someone the same age as Cena.
they need to give it to someone young and I think Romans their guy, he oozes charisma, is a fast moving powerhouse wrestler who's character is going to strike a major chord with a world obsessed with dark and edgy superhero movies.
I still maintain though that Reigns is being pushed no harder than the other 2 Shield members, He's just being pushed in a more obvious way

I think they can still make Roman look good. Have it come down to him and Bryan. Do a big extended who's gonna win spot fest like Taker and Michaels and have Bryan just barely eek out a win.
Mutual respect. Fistbump from the outside. Roman walks off as Bryan celebrates. Reigns comes in second place in the rumble again. Builds up to something in the future.

Roman Reigns is 29 years old. What do you mean by "a lot" younger than Bryan? Bryan's also not the same age as Cena. He's 33, that's around the age most wrestlers are when they're in their prime.

The fact he's younger means he's got time. Right now, the momentum is with DB. Oozes charisma? Maybe when he's silent. As soon as he starts to talk, he's cringeworthy.

I think the biggest trouble is WWE's Highlander philosophy on top guys. People wouldn't be resistant to Roman Reigns and so out of their mind over them neglecting Daniel Bryan if WWE operated under a pretense that there's always room for more. The fact that if Bryan didn't get his 'Mania moment last year I think fans, casual or hardcore deep down know it's interchangeable midcard purgatory if WWE doesn't get behind Bryan as the guy. If there was any confidence that WWE can keep Bryan important without keeping him in the world title picture I think people would be more calm about him not winning everything, but the vibe WWE gives off that they almost want you to forget certain people exist is where the aggression in the fans comes form.

Everyone and their dog knows that Reigns is going to get booed into another dimension at the Rumble, and the crowd will support Lesnar at Wrestlemania.
Reigns should wrestle at the Rumble in a match. Don't put him in the Rumble match at all. For his own sake.

Don't put him in the Rumble match at all. For his own sake. With Brock leaving I don't know that the crowd will support him. I'm figuring more that we'll get Lesnar vs. Goldberg 2 (and the match will probably be about as good) and if Rollins teases cashing in he'll be treated like Eddie Guerrero just came out riding Andre the Giant's shoulders while throwing everyone money.

Don't put him in the Rumble match at all. For his own sake. He's already announced he was in the Rumble, no going back on it now. If he wins, it's gonna be really interesting, I'll say that. Seeing how the crowd reacts, and if Roman can rise to the occasion.

Has the season where wrestling fans become suicidal emo teens already snuck upon us? The year goes so quickly, doesn't it?

If he's in it, and doesn't win it, they haven't learned a damn thing. That crowd will be booing to high heaven.

If it's part of a pattern, yes. Interesting that you mention that, since the "Daniel Bryan-shouldn't-go-over" contrarians seem just as obsessive as that guy.
