I knew someone who ridiculed me for buying The Goonies on DVD back when Joe Dirt came out. He said I was stupid for buying it and should have watched something like Joe Dirt instead. Yeah, I don't talk to him anymore.

Ugh.David Spade is just the f***in' worst.The most half-assed accent for a character ever.I'd rather get a Bucky Larson 2.

Joe Dirt's a bit of a guilty pleasure, but a sequel is absolutely unnecessary. It's hard to see it not following the path of Anchorman 2 or Dumb and Dumber To. Or even Son of the Mask or Dumb and Dumberer, really. |

Has there been any sequel that's come out more than a decade after the original film that's actually been any good? Dawn of the Dead Halloween H20 (I don't like it but it has its fans) Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 (I like it, but not everyone does) Escape from LA (it has its fans) Before Sunset ((9 years)People like it/the original/the third one, not really my thing, haven't seen them) |

I remember liking Joe Dirt but it has been a very long time since I watched it. That said, comedy sequels have been more misses than hits over the last decade, so I'm not exactly optimistic for this.

Being a teenager with a local theater means I witnessed such classics as Joe Dirt, Me, Myself and Irene and Big Momma's House.
My friends never bring up those days anymore.
