I've seen these smaller cans for years. I always figured that they were made for parents to pack into kids' school lunches (a "healthier" choices than a full-sized can or bottle). Funny enough they are around the liquor section of stores around here as they are used for mixing. Never would have thought about them being for kids' lunches or anything like that. The smaller bottles are sold at the dollar stores for a dollar since the price of 20oz bottles went up so much.

So how does this help business. More money per sale but can promote less sales. If you drop the price wouldn't that attract more people too buy more?

I believe they did the same thing with candy bars a while back, where they started making the bars in general a little smaller and King size servings became a little smaller. On top of that they cost a little more than they did a few years ago. This might just be a rumor though, I honestly haven't researched it. Chocolate in general is becoming more expensive due to the rising price of cocoa butter.

Just go back to selling more 8 or 12 oz glass bottles with real sugar or sugar+stevia like green coke(which is not bad honestly)

Yeah, I've seen those little cans for awhile now... they're cute until you realize they cost close to the same as a twelve pack.
I usually buy a 2 liter and make it last a week.

These have been sold in the UK for at least a decade.
I just look at them like I do with fun-size chocolate bars. A little treat if you don't want a full-size.

Here in Korea smaller sized Coke/Pepsi cans are the norm, by far.

The idea that you can cause an explosion when mixed with mentos, and the ability to clean metals with Coke are among many reasons I don't drink it, Pepsi, or any other soda regularly. That and drinking way to much mountain dew during my teenage years turning my intestines into swiss cheese... Can also clean a toilet with it.

Use it as an ingredient for recipes sometimes. Soak a steak in a cola with other ingredients and it gives it a nice glaze and tenderizes it.

Mexi-coke > American coke
I don't care about the size change. I drink it so rarely it really doesn't matter to me. If I bought more than one coke I would buy the small cans for the sake of not being tempted to drink more than 8oz at a time

I appear to be the only person one that doesn't really taste the difference between American coke and Mexican coke.

Or that stuff I see at the dollar store, I thin it's called Stars and Stripes. AKA some of the nastiest shit I've ever had the displeasure of tasting. I made the mistake of buying that stuff at a convenient store. Try Shasta.
