It wasn't until I had about three of the characters (He-Man, Stratos and Man-At-Arms) that I noticed that they all shared the same body mould! I loved the toys and the cartoon, though; Skeletor was so badass and had no redeeming qualities at all - which is exactly what you want from your cartoon villains. Hell it wasn't until like 10 years after the fact that I realized Stinkor was just a recolor of Merman. Well, he wasn't JUST a recolor. Mer-Man did not have that oil infused in the plastic when they used their shared mold. Those toys still stink just as bad as they did when they were first made. It makes me wonder if Moss Man figures (which reused the Beast-Man mold) still smell like Pine-Sol.

Moss Man does smell like cleaner.

Yep the character guide is already on my wish list. No the greatest book of all (or tied for first) will be when/if Mark Bellomo or someone finally does a proper guide to the figure lines!!! Transformers have had several good ones, so have Star Wars and G.I. Joe, now it's MOTU's turn!!!! The minicomic one is on my Kindle and my book of choice right now. Just finished the four introductory comics/glorified little storybooks and the real fun's beginning. Got done with Man-E-Faces and Ram Man's origins, now onto Terror of Tri-Klops. How's the weekly newspaper comics? Worth getting that book too? I do wish someone could compile the pre-2002 full-sized various MOTU comics, but probably rights issues, no? And a DC/Marvel fissure at one point to boot. The rights to the previous MOTU comic runs are a problem, but not a deal-breaking one. We've seen numerous examples over the last few years of one publisher releasing trade collections of a licensed run originally published elsewhere. DC holding the master license at the moment would definitely help the chances of seeing the original DC MOTU run (the DC Comics Presents Superman crossover, the 3-issue mini and the bonus insert story (also a Superman crossover)) sooner than the rest. Mattel *should* have master rights to the Marvel issues and own all the characters therein, but there might have to be some sort of deal to hand over the artwork. Now here's the fun part: Those aren't the only MOTU comics out there. There was a licensed UK-only magazine run and a Brazil-only comic run, and that doesn't even include the comic stories from the MOTU Official Magazine or the bunch that were released during the early 2000s reboot. Val Staples, the head guy on this character guide and the guy who runs he-man.org is pretty big on listening to fanbase demand. May want to hit that site's forums up and add your voice to those wanting the figure guide and/or comic run collections. They, along with some sort of collection of the Golden Book and Ladybird storybook adventures are some of the most demanded themes still left. On the topic of an action figure guidebook, something I'd love to see even more is a guidebook for all of the MOTU knock-off lines over the years. Sun-Man, Remco's AWA and Warlord, the Imperial beasts, the entire Galaxy hole, King Arthur, etc...

(Besides, IDW is *really* Hasbro-centric nowadays. I would imagine a Mattel property would get muscled out or be dissuaded to even brother...) And that entire post was rendered moot because I'd forgotten at the time (but not after last week when HE-MAN/THUNDERCATS #1 dropped) that DC still has the comic license. DC actually collected that DCP issue with Superman & He-Man in the DC vs MOTU miniseries' trade paperback. I'm surprised they haven't yet acted on collecting the 3 issue mini and bonus insert, especially when that monthly series was going strong (and sales were rather good early on - so much so that I still have trouble finding all the issues of that DC/MOTU mini).

www.facebook.com/lutzke82/posts/10154661753312806Here's my collection. I just took some quick pictures before I rearrange the basement. This also includes my wrestling figures and other assorted toys. I have all but a handful of the He-man line, but I didn't take pics to accentuate them.

The Man-e-faces God.
A man seamlessly links He-Man to Game of Thrones.

Made some nice scores at the swap meet today... Found a Snake Mountain playset for 2 dollars, a TMNT carrying case for 8 bucks, a Remco Carlos Colon figure for 2 bucks, and a Clawdeen tiger with saddle for 5 bucks!

I wonder if Mattel would ever considering bringing back She-Ra, this time as proper action figures.

Don't think it's a mould but them sharing the same bodybuilding regime. It always interests me that this universe is a rejected off-shoot of Conan. Schwarzenegger despised the He-Man character and his build.
