OK, the Pats should be punished (FACT! /tyson kidd) but, can I ask how about the refs? I'm just confused to if they didn't care or at least why weren't they notified at halftime like the NFL was?

Pats should be fined a heavy sum and lose a 1st round pick this year. Slimy thing to do but not reason they won

I compare this to the times in wrestling when a heel who's clearly winning has to use underhanded tactics. They clearly were better than the Colts. This just wasn't needed in any way.

Screw that.
Suspend Belichick for the Superbowl and the entire 2015-2016 season, and strip a first round pick. This is the second major cheating scandal his teams have been involved in (in the playoffs). This affects the integrity of the game and should be seen as a huge deal. If Sean Payton of the Saints can get banned for a whole year for basically not knowing or stopping a bounty system, Belichick should be gone for a year for this as a second time offender of blatant, pure ass cheating. It's obvious that the punishments the league has levied against the Patriots in the past weren't enough to stop them from going after illegal advantages. It's also naive to think that the only two times they have cheated, they have been caught.
It's time for the commish to actually bring the hammer down in a way that he would if he wasn't a golf buddy of the owner of the Patriots.

League never proved he knew about what was going on under Gregg Williams, but he was suspended because as leader of the team, he SHOULD have been aware. 11 of 12 doesn't exactly look like a mistake.

There also a difference between having your players intentionally try to take out other players and letting the air out of some footballs.

Yeah the worst part is I don't see any punishment happening until after the Super Bowl. I'd be down for the idea of suspending Belichick from the Super Bowl and losing a first round pick. How bad will it look if there's no punishment and the Patriots win the Super Bowl? However what will likely happen is they will suspend Belichick for 8 games next year and then some how after week 3, they will bring him back.
Seeing how big of a blow out it was, I don't think the deflated balls would have made much of a difference in the final outcome but this is pretty damn ridiculous. The more I think about this, the more I think this might be the worst post-season I can remember in the NFL.

This F***ing blows. This has been a spectacular season. After a rough start, the Patriots dominated this season. They beat every top team (except Green Bay) they faced. Tom Brady proved that he's still one of the best in the game. Gronk has simply been unreal. Dont'a Hightower & Jamie Collins made huge strides this season and along with Revis & Browner turned this defense into the best I've seen since the Super Bowl winning teams. Right now we (Pats fans) should be enjoying the next two weeks. Reveling in the glory of the season and speculating about how they can beat Seattle. But no. Because the Patriots had to push the rules and play with deflated footballs for one game. They didn't need to and the advantage was miniminal at best, but it doesn't matter now. Now the narrative is simply going to f'n deflategate. If the Patriots did deflate those footballs they should be punished. Fine them, take away a draft pick whatever. But nothing's worse than having the joy sucked out of these next two weeks. A great way of articulating it. As Patriots fans, we've had to be on the defensive for the last seven years because of the knuckle-dragging neanderthals who constantly drudge up Spygate as a way to discredit anything the franchise does. Now, we have an entirely new scandal that all those paint-chip-eaters can point to and use as ammunition for any future successes. It's infuriating, but if it turns out the team did tamper with the footballs, it's their own fault. And what you said is another great way of summing it up, "They didn't need to and the advantage was miniminal at best". A little thing like taking 2 psi out of a football is so impossibly irrelevant to what actually happens on the field, yet here we are having to wonder why the Patriots might have gone ahead and done it anyway. And having the joy ripped away for the next two weeks isn't everything. Because if the Patriots win Super Bowl XLIX, I can guarantee you'll have that same motley crew of buffoons screaming about how this championship doesn't matter and should have an asterisk and blah blah blah. I was so ready for the Patriots to win a Super Bowl in the post-Spygate era to basically tell those fans to shove it up their asses, but now we have another scandal on our hands. Although, to be entirely honest, if the Patriots still manage to come away from Glendale as Super Bowl champions, you can bet I'll be telling those people to go screw. The problem is, I'd rather be happy about a championship, not bitter and resentful. And again, that's all the Patriots' own doing.

Calling people who are against the Patriots knuckle dragging Neanderthals and paint chip eaters makes you look so petty. This is the kind of fans the Patriots have? Name callers? Take your head out of the sand. A cheater is a cheater is a cheater. If you wanna defend a bunch of cheater that's your prerogative, but you look absolutely foolish in how you're doing it.

I want Bill to go full Eddie Guerrero and embrace it. Play "We lie, we cheat, we steal!" when he walks onto the field

It's not just people who aren't Patriots fans. I get that there are millions of them around the world. It's the small fringe of fans who cling to Spygate (and will cling to the deflated ball issue) and use it as a weapon to explain away any success the Patriots have. THOSE people are the knuckle-draggers. THOSE people are the paint-chip-eaters. I have no quarrels with people who say, "I don't like the Patriots" or "The Patriots suck." Go right ahead and say it from upon the highest mountaintop for all I care. However, I have many a quarrel with the people who say, "The Patriots only won three Super Bowls because of Spygate" or "The Patriots should vacate their AFC Championship because of deflated footballs." And yeah, I guess I'm being hypocritical for using morons on social media to bolster my argument in the same way that I've tried to defend Boston fans on the whole when a fringe of idiots on Twitter call Joel Ward the N-word or call P.K. Subban a monkey.

Having the word " bribe" anywhere near Super Bowl has got to be Roger Goodell's worst nightmare. Also, Raiders fans must HATE the mid 2000s.

As a Patriot fan I still don't see the issue. Deflated balls should've been an issue for both teams and the game should've been closer by that logic then. Let's be honest here. A deflated ball doesn't explain, excuse, or even prove a blowout of that fashion.
If the ball is much easier to throw, grip on to, and prevent fumbles in the process then the Colts should've had the same advantage with said ball as well thus creating a much closer game. It wouldn't surprise me one bit of this is just a media storm to discredit the Patriots, Bill, and their fanbase by giving the Colts and some of their fanbase an excuse as to why they lost.
Here's what someone posted on the NFL article via AOL:
"Doesn't sound like cheating took place. For all of the histrionics on this page...read the rule:
"Each team will make 12 primary balls available for testing by the Referee two hours and 15 minutes prior to the starting time of the game to meet League requirements. The home team will also make 12 backup balls available for testing in all stadiums. In addition, the visitors, at their discretion, may bring 12 backup balls to be tested by the Referee for game shield in outdoor stadiums.
The Referee shall be the sole judge as to whether all balls offered for play comply with these specifications. A pump is to be furnished by the home club, and the balls shall remain under the supervision of the Referee until they are delivered to the ball attendant just prior to the start of the game. "
If the balls were under inflated then it appears the head Referee wasn't doing his job. Both teams played with the same game balls.
Whaaaaaa...the Colts lost, get over it."
