How weird is it that people expect HHH to be the savior? No one would've predicted that ten years ago. NXT happened and news stories of him butting heads with Vince over things that the Net disagree with. Hunter became the defacto savior after that. While folks have high hopes for Trips because of those things, I think he'll fall into the same traps that plague McMahon's reign. Power corrupts all ultimately.

If he picks his lieutenants well (Regal seems a good start) and doesn't get too carried away with his old-school NWA love he should be capable of producing a strong product.
I've long been of the opinion that he takes the time-frame of an old NWA angle as a template but doesn't adjust it for the amount of hours WWE put out. A good six-month angle in the olden days should be burned through in three at max at today's pace but he'd seemingly rather drag it out forever. Conversely that approach works well on NXT as they have fewer hours and only four specials a year.

Maybe? He's more in tune with the audiences of 2015 but at the same time running NXT and running the main shows.
I mean I love NXT but it greatly benefits from not having to fill 3 hours of television every week for raw... 6 if you count Smackdown and Superstars
Though it's pretty much a guarantee that Dunn is out when he and Steph take day to day operations because reportedly they both hate him.

Does no one else realize that Dusty does the writing with a couple of others and the booking in NXT?

Does no one else realize that Dusty does the writing with a couple of others and the booking in NXT? Which HHH oversees, maybe he'll get good people to book Raw too. HHH doesn't have to do it all himself to be the saviour.

I'm VERY skeptical that he will be..but if he drops Dunn, it's already a plus.

He'll be better than Vince, but let's not forget this is the man who was still in the top five hate figures of the hardcore fanbase as little as two years ago during his feud with Lesnar, and now he's the champion of all that is good in wrestling? Sure. Everything in his personality and way of doing business that people disliked about him back then is still there now. It's not a wrestling storyline, he hasn't turned face. And likewise, Vince isn't some evil tyrant who hates wrestling and wants to bury all of your favourites from NXT just cos he can. They both have their positives and negatives, it's just Hunter's negatives don't appear to outweigh his positives to the horrific extent that Vince's do these days. I don't think Vince is evil. He has gone on record as recently as a few months ago though, proving to be horrendously out of touch. He thinks women's wrestling is dangerous. It's damn easy for Hunter to look good when he has NXT. I just always question if he'll push his NXT template on a bigger stage with bigger crowds. That remains to be seen.

"And I’d like to think that maybe this company will better after Vince McMahon is dead. But the fact is, it’s going to be taken over by his idiotic daughter and his doofus son-in-law and the rest of his stupid family."

It'll be a lot better, really for 3 main reasons.
1. The most obvious, HHH seems to properly value the elite level indy talent that can be good additions to the WWE (Such as Owens, Zayn etc), which will really boost the quality of the roster over time.
2. He's much less likely to force bad ideas for extended periods like Vince does. He'll have plenty of bad ideas, but I don't see him sticking with them if they aren't working out "just because."
3. No more Kevin Dunn.

If Kevin Dunn is shitcanned once HHH takes over, he'll be the goddamned second coming of Christ to me, and I've NEVER been a huge fan of the guy.

"Savior" is overselling it, but I do think it'd be a positive change overall, in part since it'd likely mean Dunn losing a good deal of power. Things would be much less stagnant.

I don't really think so anymore. Down in NXT he doesn't have to worry about appeasing network execs or spnosors. All that will change if he ever gets the reigns(lol) of the main show.

It doesn't matter, because we'll never find out. The Queen will step down before Vince does.

It doesn't matter, because we'll never find out. The Queen will step down before Vince does. I honestly would like that happen more than Vince. Who's bright idea was it to let her be head of creative? ...Oh, right. Once the Billion Dollar Boobjob is gone, then we'll see real change. But the thing is, she won't be because she's married to Triple H.
