God, that gif of Sid hitting his finisher while wearing the belt...he was the anti-Jose. That should get a lot of use around here. Sid refused to sanction Jose's buffoonery. |

I just want to say two things.
Number one, this is my favorite thread in quite awhile.
And number two. Jose Lothario was the most useless manager I've ever seen. He brought absolutely nothing to the table. A hamster inside a ball on quaaludes would have been a more effective manager than f***ing Jose Lothario.

Lothario was, very simply, not suited for the task put before him. However, it was only because of the individual he was supporting. Michaels had always presented himself as self-made. To saddle him with the "respect for one's trainer/father figure" angle in an effort to make him look like a parallel to Bret Hart was disingenuous at best. Michaels was never about tradition; his gimmick was about pure, natural talent which did not concern itself with the values to be learned in wrestling school. However, he also had a somewhat poor history about bowing out and vacating titles when he was booked to lose them, which made him look, in the eyes of increasingly influential Internet wrestling fans, like a poor candidate for the top title.

I love the fact that Jose was running to help his son but looked like he was just walking kind of fast. I also love how Aldo Montoya was wearing a suit but still had his mask on and how Tito was just staring at Joses son and not saying anything or trying to help him. |
