Essential - $80
Extra - $135
Premium - $160
I was already strongly considered letting my subscription lapse when it runs out in November and that definitely cements it.

That's a very poor month. I thought Sony would pull something decent out the hat to make up for XBox releasing Starfall. But we get a crap remake. And two games I've never heard of--including one which is an MMO, and MMO games are usually terrible. Generation Zero looks interesting---but the reviews for it are awful. 4/10, 2.5/10, 3/10 .... yikes. They do at least have whatever Sea of Stars is, people are excited about them having that one. Though really I doubt Sony's much concerned about Starfall because October is Spider-Man. Sea of Stars is an indie 2D RPG from the developers of The Messenger. It takes inspiration from games like Chrono Trigger and Breath of Fire. They even got Yasunori Mitsuda to compose a few songs of its soundtrack.
Though it's also on PC, Xbox, and Switch so not exactly a PS exclusive.

Cancelled my PS+.
It expires in March, but figured they can see my cancellation in their stats for impact of the announcement.
Imagine raising your prices on the day your included line up is as crap as September is!
Sony are thier own worst enemy.

Currently subbed for Extra with it expiring October 6.
Good job making me think about whether I want to renew it!
I'm either re-upping now before the price increase, or cancelling. I'm going to review how much I've actually used it first.
All things I should do anyway, but a 35 dollar price increase sure as hell is going to motivate me to do it.

Let's release an absolute banger this month to soften the blow" OR, "right--we're raising prices a lot. Let's do something like release a couple of dozen PS1 games in the classic's catalogue. Then people won't be as f***ed off with us" Instead, they announced the increase with zero mention of extra benefits and a pile of shit for the free games on top of it. |

So got myself a Ps5 for my birthday! Got myself Spiderman, Shadows of the Colossus and WWE2K23 and pre-ordered Baldurs Gate. But tbh been having too much fun with Astros playroom 😅 To add, this is my first playstation since the PS2. So have mostly got it to play all the exclusives I've missed out on, so Spiderman, God of War, Uncharted and so on  |

Sucks as this is probably the only game other than Alan Wake 2 (if it goes to retail) that I was going to buy this year. At the very least it's nice that they are openly saying it's because of competition and not that the game is facing development problems.

I bought Marvel Midnight Suns.
It's good. I had no idea it was a card game when it was first released, and I'm a lover of card games. Plus, the cast of characters is better than I though---I'll be honest, when it first came out, I just kinda ignored it. Not expecting much from it, especially after the shitness that was The Avengers game.

Finished the Quarry tonight (well for 2nd time. First time things escalated out of control and it was a frigging massacre lol) so replayed last couple of chapters
Really weird ending (Got the best ending) but it just ends which was a bit of a bummer since I was enjoying story but figured we’d get a epilogue of crew getting back together

Apparently Calisto Protocol is one of the games for PS +
Figured it be there at some point but didn't think this soon. Makes sense tho since it is a game that has its issues but is playable and I been waiting to play it. They damn sure wasn't going to give up Dead Space Remake
