I had way more fun with Callisto Protocol today.
I turned it off and started replaying RE: Village.

It was fine -- a few funny parts, and I liked that your choices actually seemed to matter. But the dialogue just got so pretentious, I could mentally picture the developers giving themselves a Chris Jerichoesque pat on the back after they managed to slip in some quotes about Marxism. And the gameplay was lacking. I completed it, but near the end I was thinking "come on, time for this to be over so I can go back to actually playing something" Also wasn't too fan of the game world and design--too bleak and grey and lifeless. Which I guess was kinda the point, but it was also a bit too much.

Gotham Knights is very ... hit and miss.
Like, there is clearly a good game buried in there. The actual missions themselves, so far, are enjoyable. But there's just so much time-wasting filler with the open world. I would much rather it be linear to be honest. The open world is a pain in the arse to get around too with the grappling hooks.

The lack of a jump button is a strange choice.

A lot of Gotham Knights feels like they started out making an Arkham game, were forced to turn it into a bunch of grindy bullshit to convert it into a live service thing, then when it came out and got mediocre at best reviews and sold poorly those plans were immediately abandoned.
In other words I don't expect Suicide Squad to get support for very long.

I really wanted to love Gotham Knights. Finally a game where I can play as Nightwing or Batgirl. But wow the gameplay was very hit and miss and the controls were ass. Plus the fact it was grindy as hell and killed any fun factor of the game. The story is fine and the character interactions are top notch. Lots of customization for suits and the cycles. A very mixed bag of a game.

Another game that had potential spoiled by poor choices.

A very mixed bag of a game. I gave it another couple of hours and I realised, I just can't be arsed with the grind. It feels like I'm playing an MMO. I don't have the time or patience to f*** around grinding. Just let me go through the missions gradually, earning new skills as I go. I think I am gonna quit--which is a shame because there is a good game in there. I love the choice of characters, I enjoy the detective moments and, like you say, the character interactions are great. If they got rid of the grindy shit and the half-assed crafting, and just had it a straight single-player game with the option for a co-op, it would be good.

I started playing Gotham Knights yesterday via PS+ and I’ve only gone through a couple of missions thus far. I don’t think I’m gonna last much longer. It’s just not fun.

Completed Days Gone today after sinking 72 hours into it
I (like a lot of people I think) just totally didn’t even give it a 2nd look when it got announced because it didn’t really seem to be anything hadn’t seen before but I kept on seeing little comments here and there about how it was really good so eventually I picked it up and I’m really glad I did
Yeah it doesn’t reinvent the wheel but it’s a damn smooth ride (Puns, I’ve got them), the time I spent on it flew by and especially with it ending the way it did, truly bummed that we’ll not get a sequel

Got Alan Wake 2 and it's pretty good so far. The problems I have with Remedy games still feel present though. Lots of empty space spent running around to get to the few collectibles and objectives, combat that just feels 'there', and the over the top tv parts that just aren't funny. I also hate how dialogue between characters can be missed when you go to your mind place or how a character will say something, pause, and then start talking again just after the point where you thought they were done.
But still, I'm enjoying the story and the gameplay is gripping me more than Control's did.

Path of Titans is absolutely f***ing garbage.
I love dinosaurs, but don't like MMOs, but f*** it--I get to play as a dinosaur, should be fun. Is it bollocks
The dinosaurs look and feel great. But the world is just boring because there's nothing f***ing in it. I wandered around an hour, found no NPC dinosaurs to hunt. Didn't encounter any players (although my server apparently had some) and just turned it off.
It takes a lot of effort to make a boring dinosaur game, but my god did they manage it. How hard can it be to put some f***ing NPC dinosaurs in it to hunt or hunt you--a pack of Gallimimus to chase down, a hadrosaur to tackle, a t-rex which may chase and kill you.
Keep it MMO, sure--but put some f***ing NPCs in to interact with. The only NPC I found were some boring ass lizards.
