The Dr Ken/ Jeremy Piven episode was so awful. You can't even explain to people who didn't see it why it was so bad. That was the episode that made me stop watching Raw. That was August. I didn't watch a millisecond of Raw until Bret Hart made his return in January. Even then, I was basically watching highlights online before WrestleMania 26 including the HBK/Taker feud, Douchetista, and Bret/Vince. I will try to explain how bad it was. It was so bad that I can't watch Mr. Selfridge without thinking how bad the guest host era of Raw was.

Raw was awful awful crap but Smackdown was great, especially due to your Straight Edge Savior CM Punk.

I've always said I blocked 2009 out because it was that awful and reading through this thread has made me realize that it's definitely not an exaggeration. The only thing I remember is the Draft and that was because I attended the show in person.

Like a majority on here, Raw was just unbearable with the celebrity guests taking up TV Time, the recurring Hornswoggle/Chavo feud (although they were more like segments than actual matches) with Hornswoggle going over every time, and the WWE title changing hands almost every PPV. Heck, even Legacy felt like a wasted potential stable considering a plethora of multi-generation wrestlers they had at that point, but instead restricted to just Randy Orton and his stooges. At least ECW and Smackdown offered something different, but also fun and exciting content to latch onto (e.g. Hardy/Punk, Jericho/Mysterio, Christian & Dreamer's ECW title runs).

I see JeriShow being mentioned. Don't know if it was from that year, but I remember lots of very entertaining JeriShow vs DX matches. Crowd was hot, and those matches were can't miss. Guess I just fast forwarded through the guest host crap since I remember nothing from them.

Just remembered when unhinged psychopath top heel Randy Orton was acting scared of a 38-year-old, bloated-looking Shane McMahon who hadn't wrestled for two years, and needed the help of two other young, athletic full-time wrestlers to beat him in a match. Ugh.
