It's really not that big of a deal , you guys overreact to everything tbh ...Please explain. Please explain how blatant sexism isn't an issue. I would genuinely like to hear it.

Jeez, you would think they chanted "you suck (____)" on full blast for the entire Divas match.
Most of it was during the break, they got "WE WANT AJ" & just "AJ" chants, "WE WANT BAYLEY" chants, Paige got a great reaction, they got a good amount of time on one of the most watched RAW's of the year.
They'll be fine.

You guys essentially paid hundreds to thousands of dollars to stick it to the man by being weird and acting like morons during Raw, thereby causing other idiots a year from now to want to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars to go to this Raw and repeat the process all over again.
Yep, you're REALLY awesome. You've helped the establishment become richer by sticking it to them, that's not an easy feat to accomplish

Yeah, they were good at points but chanting 'LET'S GO DIVAS' after that display is just an invitation for WWE to exploit those crowds and not really consider their voices as valuable or take them seriously beyond a single night.

You are allowed to chant whatever nonsense you want at a wrestling show.
Just don't get mad when other people tear apart the stupid shit you say and point out what a colossal turd it makes you sound like. For every action, there is a reaction.

Is the crowd ruining The RAW After Mania Gimmick? I know this is from an old meme, but it is an excellent question

I'm probably the biggest defender of a crowds right to have fun at a wrestling show you'll find, but this crowd were just straight up ogres.

I honestly don't get the "we are awesome" chant. Like, why are you awesome specifically? Because you can chant stupid shit? I seriously don't get it.

And this is why despite the stupid Family Guy Ankle crap, the Full Sail crowd beats a Post-WM crowd. Full Sail's love of duelling chants would have had someone start a "NO YOU'RE NOT!" counter-chant at the "WE ARE AWESOME" chants.

Honestly, I AM jealous. I'd love to do the whole WrestleMania week thing, but the money situation in my life just isn't there for it yet. Look, nobody's begrudging crowds having fun. I, and many others, just thought that chanting at the women about their intimate relationships in the manner that they did just was probably the wrong way to go about it. Personally, I would have tried to get a "BRIE AND DANIEL SITTIN' IN A TREE, K-I-S-S-I-N-G" song going if I was there and wanted to mention their partners. Lot less crass than LOL BLOWJOBS. Can I just ask something? The go to chant for disapproval of some one is "you suck." Isn't that already an implication of blowjobs to begin with? Is it really any more sexist to name the recipient of said act, especially when the public already knows the identity of such?

Not to justify it (because it's not justified), but when chanted at a male, it's implying homosexual acts in an attempt to emasculate.

Crowds like last night are the reason why I hope New Japan never gets even semi-big.
The day I hear these kind of chants at a New Japan show is the day I quit watching wrestling.
I think wrestling fans earn their not so good reputation. When you tell people you like wrestling and they give you that "WTF are you retarded?" look, I can understand why. We're the type of people that chants about people sucking dicks and ruin hall of fame's with chants. We stink IMO.

Yes. Yes it is. If it wasn't sexist they'd yell "You suck Nikki/Naomi/Nattie/Stephanie" chants at their significant others. They dont.
I don't see what's so hard to understand about that.

Is it really any more sexist to name the recipient of said act, especially when the public already knows the identity of such? There's a difference: "sucks", in most popular usage, doesn't really refer to oral sex the way it used to. It's more taken the place of "stinks". Obviously there's a level of subjectivity to language, but once you change it to "you suck </whomever>", the implications change; it has now moved to a direct, intentional reference to oral sex. Worse, the notion that "Divas only have their jobs because they do sexual favors for Vince/Hayes/Laurenitis/etc." has been prevalent for years now; chanting this expressly at the women (it's a chant that would never be directed at the guys) is a way of saying "You only have this job because of who you sleep with; you're not a worthwhile enough performer for us to recognize you in any way beyond the man you have sex with; that's your only identity with us." Anyway, yeah, once post-Mania crowds started to realize the trends/memes they could create, they set their own expiration date. Self-awareness kills the spontaneity that made the original ones of them more enjoyable.

The post-Raw mania is pretty much the conglomerate of the smarkiest of fans all over the world. The only way it'd probably go away is if one of the wrestlers finally puts the crowd in their place in a way that makes them feel like assholes, but that's not gonna happen.

As far as I've seen wrestling fans are like any other group, and if anything it seems like a fairly civil and good natured group of people largely.
