The ones who take it too seriously I envy because I wish I could get as invested in it and feel it's all real. My friend's mother is the same way she yells at the TV when a heel does something evil or when the heel is about to get their comeuppance. I'm at that weird place where I can talk the specifics of the business, but still get invested in angles where I cheer my heroes and scream bloody murder at the bad guys when they beat down the heroes. I just cheer for who entertains me and boo the ones who don't. I really don't stick to alignments given to us on TV. I wish I could but that requires REALLY good writing but it's hard with wrestling since it's live action theater and they can't go too over the top to show somone is dastardly. The last well written angle where I loathed the heel was Rollins/Ambrose and that ended poorly.

I couldn't make out any sexist chants. I did hear the 'Let's go, Divas!' and 'AJ Lee' chants. However, I know there were some chants that I couldn't make out. These are probably the ones people have been talking about. Had I been able to understand those, they would have gotten me out of the match and I would have been annoyed at the crowd.

if you dont put an entertaining show, u get to hear bullshit crowd chants. that should be the rule for every show. nobody wanted to see that diva tag. nobody wanted to see that mainevent. That crowd got the main event it deserved. In football, in the UK, if the fans chant things like that then the club gets punished and the fans are often investigated. Yep. I've reported people and had them thrown out for chanting misogynistic shit. Would happily do it again.

I'm disappointed to see excuses/defenses/rationalizations for the sexist chants here and in other threads. I thought FAN, wrestling fans in general, were better than that. It's been educational. Have you forgotten what the WWE product was like during their last boom period? I'm not surprised at all that there's still a considerable amount of fans still around with an attitude era mentality towards female talent. Because fans always do what the WWE tells them, right? WWE pushes Roman Reigns to the main event - "BOOO, we don't want him" Crowd chant misogynistic crap - "but the WWE pushed women as sex objects over a decade ago" Grow some balls, and own your sexism.

There is no point in finding a negative in something you generally had fun in. I didn't really have much fun, though. Between people blocking my view with their gigantic signs, people standing on their seats and blocking my view of the action AND the Tron so I can't watch it there, dudes picking fights with me because I was the only one who had the balls to tell them to sit down because they were ruining it for other people, and the awkward chants people tried getting started every other minute like "f*** TRIPLE H" or "STEPH SUCKS DICK", it was not what I'd call a fun experience. It was more like a splash of ice cold reality in my face after this dream I had of crossing Mania off my bucket list and having an awesome time seeing some of my favorites in person in an opportunity I most likely will never get again. Going to Wrestlemania is one of four things left on my bucket list, but the more I hear about it, and the Raw the next day, (because let's face it, if I'm going to pony up £2k on flight, tickets and hotel, spend a day getting there, and a day getting back, I'd rather spend a few more Ks and have the full experience), I think I'm better off not going. I had two idiots in front of me at the World Cup try and ruin it by spoling my view for the whole game taking frigging selfies of each other, and not even watching the game.

I mean, it was weird and kinda childish, but isn't that the basis for most of wrestling? I'm not really sure why people are getting worked up over that specific chant, to be honest.
