Yeah, ridiculously sexist during a diva's match that was actually pretty good. You guys sure were "awesome" during that. Good stuff giving diva's a chance. Funny how you didn't chant "You eat Brie" at Bryan during the IC Title match, or at Cena during the US Title match. Is he the kind of vegan that even eats cheese?

While not in-keeping with the joke, I have to point out Bryan's not been vegan for a couple of years.

Thought it was a great crowd.
I get scared thinking back to '06, '07, '08 when crowds were d-e-a-d, and especially in start contrast with the Attitude Era. So an alive crowd's always a great thing for me.
Are the people that chanted that vile? Nah. Silly? Maybe. They're in a crowd, frenzy like environment. Also, where's the rage for 'Penis Pump'? Hate to say it, but again with this PC slippery slope, let's start getting worked about every thing..

But a crowd chanting We Are Awesome is akin to liking your own post on a forum. Come the f*** on. No worse than a website and forum called Freakin' Awesome Network Eh, this community has been everything from Wrestlecrap to the Scott Baio forum. Hardly a serious place. Can't speak for Kash's wife who I *think* came up with the name, but I hardly doubt it was for anything other than silliness and marketing. This is a joint venture from Kash and Madison, doesn't hurt them to try n sell themselves. The crowd however was just self gratifying, which I think is silly (and not the good silly). Not sure why this is becoming such a serious hot topic here.

Sorry bout that one, carry on.

Yes because I see nothing wrong with wrestling fans calling themselves awesome, especially a rabidly engaged and enthusiastic post-WM crowd. As I've said, for those who don't like it, they generally have 51 weeks of the year where those crowds don't exist. So just wait six days and you'll get a crowd more to one's liking. but what does this board & it's main site name have to do with this conversation? the main site was intended to be more pop culture based from it's inception once the split from wrestlecrap happened.

Even WWE acknowledged it via commentary and cameras focusing on the wave and ignoring the shitty main event.

Good thing those heels Naomi and AJ weren't spared the chant either! They sure deserved it. It cracked me up when they booed down the You Suck Punk chants, like "BOO YOU SUCK CENA/USO/TYSON/BRYAN/PU...WAIT NO NOT PUNK! NOT THE YOU THE BEHOLDER OF THE GREAT REBEL ANTIAUTHORITY BADASS GUY CM PUNK SMARK GOD'S PENIS! GO AJ! PLEASE DON'T HATE US MR AND MRS. BROOKS!" Like get the f*** outta here, selective sexism doesn't make you any less of a dick. And I'm sure AJ hated hearing her co-workers get those chants too, so you're still pissing her off either way. Then can you tell me why she and/or Paige were raising their arms up to get the crowd to chant it longer?

I don't think it's helpful to be offended on anyone else's behalf or to assume you know if they're "pissed" about it or not. I don't like that particular chant one bit and I hope it's not here to stay, but let's not go fighting a battle on someone's behalf and pass that as the reason there should be outrage.

Yes because I don't see why one is objectionable and the other wouldn't be if neither are regarded as serious.

Just find the chant to be eye roll worthy.

I don't think anyone in the time since the name change has actually referred to themselves as "freakin awesome" because they post here, f.a.n.ites, fannies (which to me sounds wrong.) crappers, former crappers, f.a.n.ers, sure but "freakin awesome" not once.

Lol, to those complaining about the chants, relax. We were just having fun.
God forbid fun still exists in WWE.
Also WWE actively encouraged the we are awesome chant all weekend. Blame them.

Crowds like last night are the reason why I hope New Japan never gets even semi-big. The day I hear these kind of chants at a New Japan show is the day I quit watching wrestling. I think wrestling fans earn their not so good reputation. When you tell people you like wrestling and they give you that "WTF are you retarded?" look, I can understand why. We're the type of people that chants about people sucking dicks and ruin hall of fame's with chants. We stink IMO. You'll never see that happen at a show in Japan. They don't tolerate that kind of garbage that was last night. If someone did try it, whoever it was would be dragged out by security and thrown out on top of their head.
