All those claiming that AJ was some kind of burying Triple H monster really makes me wanna see how this forum would have been like when Trish and Lita were the top two women of the division.

Cool it opens up a spot in the Diva's division for Sasha Banks.

This one was inevitable I think. Given Punk's feud with WWE and the lawsuit and all that there was no viable way for her to stay with the company. Hey, she at least got one last WM payday out of it.

Cool it opens up a spot in the Diva's division for Sasha Banks. There were plenty of spots available even before AJ left. They have five hours of television a week on Raw and Smackdown. More than enough time for quite a large roster of women, if indeed they took women's wrestling seriously.

If AJ had the ability to book herself she must be the worst self booker ever. At least Sandow made out with some attractive women, AJ just lost on free tv in under 3 minutes with no mic time.

She was practically a part timer last year. Like she would wrestle in the title scene, take a break, comeback in the title scene, take a long break, comeback in the title/Wrestlemania scene. Retire. I'm sort of automatically preparing her return around SummerSlam and being inserted in the title scene again. She was stale as hell and the divas division felt fresh when it was Paige fighting whoever. Hell I'm pissed that Alicia Fox's crazy character was shelved for AJ's return. If she retired on her own terms good for her, made her money and retires pain free I'm happy. She had a good run being the face of the divas division for four years and she's a HOF'er. Her spot opens up a new callup and it lets someone else be the face of the Divas division and I'm looking forward to that ITT Supersweet is the voice of reason. Indeed, God help us all.

If AJ is really done they should put her in the Hall next year.

Local Man Blamed For Retiring AJ.
(Seriously, that's the only non-NXT or non-silly love rectangle I remember about her career...getting run over by Big Show.)

The thought of AJ being the female Hogan made me audibly laugh. Roided up orange AJ dropping the leg on Awesome Kong would've changed womens' wrestling forever jack.

However you look at it, this is the WWE's loss.

You know what I just realized? Now the Bella Twins get to come out on Monday and be like "See we told you so! We told you she'd just leave" which I'm not gonna enjoy

What's funny about AJ is, she DID lose a bunch on TV.
The issue was, pretty much all of those losses came in pointless ass tag matches where nobody could possibly benefit from such a forgettable and anticlimactic victory. That's why some people have this perception of her as the female HHH/Hogan. I'm not even mad at her, that's on WWE for having the division feel so worthless.

Man, the women's division is NEVER going to have an iconic representative to it.
After Trish retired, it seems like every 2 years there is some big new diva to take the helm but they're gone just as fast as they arrived.

Her husband got into her head. Either that, or she fears Ronda is coming to the Divas Division soon!
Never really been a huge fan of AJ, though she is definitely better than most of the women we've seen on TV in recent years.
Maybe after her and Punk divorce, she'll be back.
