I was the biggest AJ mark when she was on NXT3 and loved everything she did up 'til her GM run. It never made sense to me why, considering her size, selling ability, and young looks that so much of her run on the main roster was as a heel or as "crazy" and never really as an underdog babyface, which she seems tailor-made for.

WWE will only give pushes to underdog babyfaces in WWE if they have bigger muscles than a Rob Liefield comic, and have won 15 world titles.

I wish Paige had retired instead. She's so goddamn boring.

Maybe after her and Punk divorce, she'll be back. You are such a Polly Positive.

Man, judging from some of the responses in here, you'd think that AJ ran over their dog or something.

Man, judging from some of the responses in here, you'd think that AJ ran over their dog or something. It is rather amazing. A capable female wrestler and mic worker = YAY, I'm glad she's gone!!! Woo hoo!!! And now this... At times, some fans even make WWE management seem rational.

I missed the beginning of AJ's time in WWE as I started watching again in 2013. I agree with the people who never connected with her; she was just so bland and uninspiring as a character. But she's also undeniably their best women's wrestler besides Natalya (and those two had great chemistry together). Always sad to see a good worker retire.

If you are surprised by this, I don't know what to tell you. I'm surprised it took this long.
AJ had been phoning it in for over a year. She came back from that hiatus, and I'm not sure why. No matter the reason, her heart was no longer in this.
I'm pretty sure her leaving will be saving somebody else's job. Just like CJ Parker leaving will be saving another.

Local Man Blamed For Retiring AJ. (Seriously, that's the only non-NXT or non-silly love rectangle I remember about her career...getting run over by Big Show.) SHE'S ONLY 98 POUNDS!! HOW COULD YOU BE SO RECKLESS?!

Well, that was out of nowhere. So why did she get the win for her team at Mania? For me, the most obvious thing about any match AJ would be involved in in the last couple months is that she would take the fall because she was so obviously running down the clock before leaving. But she barely ever did job. I was CERTAIN she would job at WrestleMania. Nope. They really got nothing out of her on the way out. Is it that the office didn't see that she was phoning it in, is it that didn't care, is it that they REALLy believed she was in for the long haul... Or maybe she really just got pregnant and when that happened she left.

The same Nikki Bella who has been positioned above her on the card and featured on Total Diva, how is that helping? I mean using her to put over a Charlotte or a Sasha Banks.

What a shitty end to what started as such a hilarious week in WWE with Michael Cole's solitary shoe in the ring

Let's not also forget her title reign last year when she lost to people so much that her squashing people every week might have been a decent change of pace.

HOW COULD YOU BE SO RECKLESS?! Now I'm feeling nostalgic. Could someone post the gif of AJ Yes-ing around Daniel Bryan with the WHC?

Man, the women's division is NEVER going to have an iconic representative to it. After Trish retired, it seems like every 2 years there is some big new diva to take the helm but they're gone just as fast as they arrived. It seems like they're perfectly fine with Trish being the forever end-all, be-all. Likely because she's the last one from the era where Vince could still control everything about his company. And even as much as Vince liked AJ, let's face it, that ship (her becoming the all-time women's icon) had sailed the moment she started doing the "CM Lee" act with her version of the pipebomb and crap.

Did you know, #ThankyouAJ trended higher than Impact, while Impact was on?
Sorry, had to throw in a WWE petty did you know.
Now it's Summer Rae's time to shine, I hope.

Shame it's kind of ended in such a flat way but she had a great run. Hope she enjoys retirement.
