As an aside, and I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned here yet, but with AJ's departure, Naomi becomes the only remaining NXT3 contestant (out of six) in WWE. To put that into perspective, NXT4 has three remaining contestants (out of six), NXT2 has four remaining contestants (out of eight), and NXT1 has six remaining contestants (out of eight), all but one of whom were at WrestleMania 31. Wow, that NXT3 turned out to be something, eh? Considering the WWE's track record with anything Divas-related, it didn't turn out half bad. Of the NXT3 competitors, two won the Divas Championship prior to retirement - one of them multiple times. If you want a sorry NXT class, look no further than four: There may be three guys left from that one, but one of them is an announcer (that's barely gotten any screentime outside of NXT/FCW), a member of the freaking Ascension, and Fandango. Even 2 was a barrel of dropped balls: Kaval and Percy Watson were wasted, Michael McGillicutty (now Curtis Axel) and Titus O'Neil are still being wasted, Alex Riley's back on NXT, and with all the good we can say about Bray Wyatt, he could certainly be so much better (as you could say about Wade Barrett, but that's a thread for another time). |

Wow, that NXT3 turned out to be something, eh? If CM Punk hadn't buried her with that 'little boy robot' comment, Jamie Keyes would've been huge, HUGE I tell ya. On a serious note, it should be noted that Kaitlyn and Maxine both left of the own accord in part due to WWE giving them f*** all to do due to their shitty booking of women, and AJ's left somewhat by choice as well. Only Aksana and Jamie failed to 'make the grade' as it were. There's also Isis "Aloisia" the Amazon, who wasn't even given a chance because of some fetishy pictures on the interwebs. Horrid as she is right know, Cobb knows how much better she'd have gotten with the Divas (and maybe even some of the fellas) teaching her how to actually put in work and how to work like a big girl. She could have been something; maybe not the next Wendi Richter, but certainly an attraction. Then again, I saw some potential in Jamie too: Her mic skills were stilted (carryover of being an announcer when she first arrived), but she moved pretty well for someone who'd been wrestling for a few months at max. Maxine goes without saying, natch. One hell of a dropped ball there.  |

This has been a strange thread. From rage to jubilation to people trying to deal with her retirement to folks not able to handle folks who don't like her to bonding over being fans of hated wrestlers to dogpiling on bitch ass Riley including his #1 fan joining the fun. I used to like AJ a lot but shit's changed. The last couple of years, she was mentally and physically checked out. Her in ring performance suffered. There is no way to say honestly she was the top overall Diva. She was popular but I can't think of any memorable match of hers from the last 3 years. The NXT Divas smoked her and yesterday's jokes like Nikki Bella improved tremendously. Honestly can't blame WWE for her drop in quality. That's on her. Especially when she decided to become CM Punkette.
