Paige and AJ got more than 2 minutes to work on ppvs. They worked with each other on house shows. Other women got good to great chemistry. Paige gels with other main roster ladies. Some people just don't have chemistry no matter you give them more than enough time. Punk and Seth Rollins proceed to have a mediocre match and they were the top tier of workers at the time. It's not so hard to accept that. Punk and Seth are in a different league entirely. It's unfair to use them as a basis for comparison for any WWE main roster women. If that's the standard they are being expected to live up to, then it's unsurprising they don't. I also question this idea that a large number of the other female wrestlers have improved en masse. Nikki has. I acknowledged that. But it's not hard to improve when you start so low. Brie is crap, especially on the mic. Paige was always good. So was Alicia but they refuse to do anything with her. Emma's career is dead. Naomi is talented. Does Cameron still exist? Not sure where Layla is. Nattie has been focused on being a nagging wife on TV. Summer Rae appears with the regularity of a comet. Rosa is a bad dancer. I suppose there's Eva Marie. You're missing his point entirely. I like AJ too, but I'm prepared to see others' point of view. Maybe she lost her passion, maybe it was injuries and a lack of match practice, it's probably a combination of all three. But it's hardly important enough to argue endlessly over. Half the reason these threads get out hand is because you don't recognise others' point of view, and won't ever back down.

That right there sums up most threads about certain wrestlers disliked when a lot of people gave reasons without snark. I mean there is so much snark in this thread but people gave valid reasons for their dislike.

I get that, when I disagree with things I read on here I state my disagreement, we all do, and I know it's easy to get carried away. There just comes a time when it's better to agree to disagree and an argument has run its logical course. All you can ask of someone is to explain the reasons behind their thinking, you'll rarely persuade anyone to change their opinion, in fact you'll probably cement their objection to your point of view by being stubborn.

It's a good thing then that I'm never stubborn.

She didn't become CM Punkette. WWE did that when they used her to vent their own frustrations. NXT Divas piss on all WWE Divas, because they are allowed to. Nikki has improved, but she's still average. Very few WWE Divas have had memorable matches. Up until about three weeks ago, they were stuck in two minute matches. Not much they can do in that amount of time. Nope, she was that before Punk slipped on the wedding ring. Remember the whole Pipebombshell speech that lead to nowhere? WWE didn't use her as their avatar to voice frustrations about the Divas division because they barely give a damn about them. The dream feud that suppose to revitalize the Divas (Paige vs AJ) was a bust. The booking was garbage but the in ring action was shit. They had no chemistry with each other. Yeah, WWE's booking is shit, so the booking's all on them. wWE can't force you to have a bad match, though. The most memorable matches AJ Lee had out of NXT were those Paige matches, and the most memorable thing about them is that both times they were the second best Divas match on the card, and both times the other Divas match on the card was a Bella match. And that's not taking anything away from the Bellas; in the time it took AJ to deteriorate to what she was just before she left, Nikki Bella went from being a complete channel changer to one of the best Divas outside of the NXT women's roster.

To be serious (cue Lance Storm pic), I had expected this for the last few months. As others have pointed out, the situation with her husband must make it awkward, and set has honestly done all there is for her to do in WWE. I feel like she definitely showed a markrd drop in motivation since her latest return, so I got the feling something was impending. My only concern is how WWE fills the void left behind; Paige is about to take time off the road to work on a movie ( and a stupid sounding one at that!), and the rest of the women have been booked like...well, the way WWE typically books women. This leaves me thinking that either someone is about to get a forced push, which the IWC rarely responds well too, or that someone is going to get called up from NXT-which is a virtual death sentence for opportunity at this point. Or, most realistic of all, they will just push the Bella's all the harder.

They might not have written the, ugh, Pipebombshell, but it's been reported and supplemented by AJ's comments in an interview that WWE shelved any plans to make a major storyline out of it, so it was their fault it lead nowhere. Paige and AJ sucked, I just wonder whether it would have sucked quite so much with a fully fit AJ. Their match at Battleground was her first match of more than a few minutes for about four months, Summerslam was the only good one and she picked up her injury a day after. It just coincided with all the Punk stuff so people presumed she was phoning it in cos she didn't actually want to be there without him. And maybe it was that, but there are other mitigating circumstances that may have hurt her performance aside from 'she didn't care anymore,' yet that's the conclusion nearly everyone comes to. Even before she suffered her first serious injury, AJ was slipping. She got a pass for past performances and her denim shorts. It's like when Kaitlyn left, part of her fighting spirit left. I miss Kaitlyn...

Can anyone give me the tl;dr because this thread has exploded and I don't think I can surf through 35 pages to catch up on the discussion? AJ announced her retirement Some people got sad about this news Some people started touching themselves to this news Arguments were had We bonded over our love of hated wrestlers We all agreed that Dolph Ziggler is a noodle-haired punk Then Alex Riley said something stupid.

Can anyone give me the tl;dr because this thread has exploded and I don't think I can surf through 35 pages to catch up on the discussion? Some people like AJ Lee. Some people don't like AJ Lee. Some people worship AJ Lee. Some people despise AJ Lee something personal. Some people like people nobody else likes. Nobody likes Alex Riley. And Dr. Snow is NOT fond of the Dolph Ziggler Scarecrow idea. Also, there's power in the Birdman hand rub. Seriously, you're missing out if you don't read the thread.
