The only way that this could get any better if is Bray Wyatt retired as well. Oh, and if Roman Reigns was demoted to a jobber. I could sing a song right now. The idea of WWE without Bray and AJ..... and Steph. There are little changes that would have HUGE benefits to my enjoyment of the show. AJ leaving is one of those things.

Seriously, f*** em'. Make your money and get out, that's the logic all wrestlers should follow. She essentially went out on top by having a match at Mania and retired. No shame in that. Besides, she had already put over the Bellas several times. Losing to them again would have had no benefit. To an extent I agree "make your money and get out", but it does bug me that people like Punk and AJ who talk about wanting changes made in how the talent are treated and paid and all that stuff simply say "f*** it, I got mine, peace" and THEN proceed to bash the company. Take a stand while you're there and on top. They did speak out though and a fat lot of good it did them. At some point fighting the machine isn't worth the heartburn, especially when the machine has little clue what you're talking about.

Ok, I admit it. I'm responsible for AJ retiring. How did I cause it, you may be asking? Well, here's my secret. Please, read at your risk. {Spoiler} I rubbed my hands together like Birdman so all my dreams would come true.

In 2012 AJ Lee's miserable push seemed like a road without a dead end. I could see no relief in sight, from a miserable women's division where you had 10 years of AJ Lee giving awful forced delivery promos.
If CM Punk's dispute with WWE led to what has happened today, then I'm happy I won't be seeing CM Punk in WWE because it means that I also won't be seeing AJ Lee.

Good for her. Accomplished what she wanted, made some money and left while still healthy. Hope she enjoys her retirement.

I think she'll be the last Diva to be featured prominently, without being a Total Diva, for the foreseeable future. It looks like Naomi is in line for a push and the latest news is she's returning to TD for season 4. It'll be interesting to see how TD affects the NXT Divas that get called up.

There must be people living sad and pathetic lives if a bad wrestler leaving WWE gets you through the day. Either stop being such a mark or go get some therapy.

UFC could use some star power in their Women's Strawweight Division. I'd pay to see her take on Herica Tiburcio in the atomweight division. I refuse to believe AJ's actually the 115lbs that she's billed at... that would make her at the upper end of the strawweight and damn near flyweight. I say she'd fight at 105 and have literally the cutest MMA fight ever with Herica.

I wouldn't be surprised if she was debating it for a while and then her husband convinced her to after the chants during the Raw match

Yeah good for her for completely ruining any chance the WWE had in restoring my faith in the Diva's division. What a champ!

You know, I used to like her when she was the cute nerdy girl on NXT.
Then, somewhere along the line, she began taking daily doses of Vitamin Bitch and I just couldn't stand her character. I know a lot of people thought she was a good actor but I thought she was absolutely horrible. Like, one of the worst in the company. That's not me joking (ok, the Vitamin Bitch comment was me joking), I'm dead serious. She came off like a little girl pretending to play wrestler in her bedroom and I just couldn't stand it.
I respect different opinions and if you like AJ, that's cool but when I see people say she was "one of the best to ever do it"...wow. Holy shit, I'm out of touch with what the general fanbase wants.

Haven't bothered to read the past 8 pages since I know it's likely an absolute cluster**** but...
I'm sad, of course, because I won't get to see AJ on TV anymore. But at the same time, she accomplished literally everything there is to do in the Divas division, got the largest push of any woman since Trish or Lita, put on some damn good matches and was part of some pretty entertaining angles. And on a more selfish note, I got the opportunity to meet her and she was really cool to me.
So yeah, I'm sad, but she's going out on her own terms, with her health intact, having tried and possibly succeeded in making the Divas division a better place for her fellow women wrestlers. Can't ask for a better retirement than that.

Yeah good for her for completely ruining any chance the WWE had in restoring my faith in the Diva's division. What a champ! Ok, I'm the guy that boos AJ in literally every thread she's mentioned in and I think you are being a bit extreme. This woman did nothing to you personally, why are you acting as if she intentionally sucked just to spite you? Just seems really silly to me to get this upset over someone who was just doing what they were told. Also, that diva's division was f***ed with or without AJ.

It seems weird that she'd wrestle on Raw but then on SD, it's Naomi who looks like she's feuding with the Bellas if the decision wasn't made in between Raw and SD.
