The Jackyl managing the Acolytes.
Wasn't he implied to be the Higher Power at some point?

it got paid off when they got beat up by the acolytes on Raw. Ish. Then they did the thing of them beating the Outlaws that seemed to be to start building them up as genuine threats, then they just said screw it. Then they got to look strong vs. Bryan and Reigns during the Tag Team Turmoil episode of SmackDown (the "got DQ'd for kicking too much ass" incident), only for them to end up as Main Event regulars.

Baby Doll's photos. Greatest one of all. They missed the boat by not having Larry Zbyszko come out for his HOF speech with the plain brown envelope. That would have topped Madusa's speech.

Remember the vignettes for Hirohito (between this and the unfrozen Nazi idea for Heydenreich...wut da hale!?) and Hade Vansen? Hirohito actually went somewhere... after the first week the same vignette aired with Kenzo Suzuki's name. He even did the imperial entrance a few times. and Heidenreich the Frozen Nazi never made it passed the pitch stage... where Vince reportedly walked out of the room. Also Hade Vansen was "Vignette" not Vignettes... And if you want to talk Heidenreich there was "Little Johnny" which was meant to turn out to be a puppet... and innuendos

Alicia Fox had Christian's old sore loser gimmick for a month and then it just ended.

Alicia Fox had Christian's old sore loser gimmick for a month and then it just ended. That whole thing was moreso based off of Solange Knowles's elevator incident with Jay Z. Still went nowhere, but...just sayin'

Edge being "unstable" pretty much fizzled away. Watch his hype promos and horrible debut.

"Let's give Mae a hand...." It might be ridiculous and weak but at least it was a storyline that actually had an ending.

in recent memory one of the worst is the bella's storyline. For them to just drop it without any payoff or explanation after how much time they put into it was really stupid. Mind you, i'm glad they did though because the storyline sucked and no one cared but still that was pathetic.

Rusev vs. Ambrose from before the rumble. Really we could be here all day... you could also probably do this with any company They had to promote the release of See No Evil in theaters so they started the May 19th thing. Then they got there, and had no idea what to do at that point. So take Kane. And he took the guys mask off. The end. Fixed. It was the theatrical release not DVD. I do think Kane explained it slightly like hte week after Fake Kane showed up. The WWE realized that the phoney Kane looked ridiculous and the crowd was not into the feud so they just ended it quickly... in one of the funniest ways I ca nthink of... which was throwing fake kane out of the arena and taking his mask back. I like to think Kane beat fake Kane so hard he became Festus as a result.

Remember the vignettes for Hirohito (between this and the unfrozen Nazi idea for Heydenreich...wut da hale!?) and Hade Vansen? I remember in 2008 when I was taking a break from WWE and decided to tune in to Smackdown one day to give it a chance. Never have I been so reminded of why I stopped watching something than when the screen went to static and some bald dude came up trying his hardest to look cool while yelling about the darkness.

How about the Fake Kane story? He shows up, beats up the real Kane a few times, they have a match at the PPV (which Fake Kane won), the next night Real Kane beats him up and kicks him out the building. Was there ever any kind of explanation for this, or was it part of the May 19th stuff? You could hear a pin drop in the arena that night. But the ending to the storyline was so horribly done it made the whole angle 10x worse. I like to picture Fake Kane trying to get back in the arena, but by the 3rd locked door he said the hell with it and went back to whereever he came from.

Tyler Recs and Curt Hawkins debut a Magic Mike tag team then never show up again. While no reason may have been given on TV, the real life reason was that Tyler Reks decided to leave WWE in order to spend more time with his family. Then why not let Hawkins do the gimmick as a singles guy? Or pair him up with another partner (like putting him back with Ryder)?
