While no reason may have been given on TV, the real life reason was that Tyler Reks decided to leave WWE in order to spend more time with his family. Then why not let Hawkins do the gimmick as a singles guy? Or pair him up with another partner (like putting him back with Ryder)? Apparently Hawkins underwent surgery in October and by the time he came back, he was most likely forgotten about again.

Mae young being pregnant than giving birth to a hand. I know the hand showed up sometime later but what was the story supposed to be there That was the punchline, the culmination of the entire story. "Let's give Mae a hand...." It might be ridiculous and weak but at least it was a storyline that actually had an ending. Right. I no longer remember the details, but there was a set up for it some time beforehand that involved Mae getting the hand, uhm, stuck up there.

For me this begins and ends with the HHH/Steph/Angle love triangle. Great storyline that got dropped once HHH was revealed to have ordered Rikishi to run over Austin.

I'm sorry, but when did the "Booker T tells people to join The Authority" thing happen? I don't remember that at all.
Come to think of it, because Orton beat Benoit to win Booker the best of 7 series, Booker still owes Randy.

According to Hawkins he asked to be put with Johnny Curtis who also wasn't doing anything. The idea was supposed to be that they thought they were god dancers but werent. Then Hawkins got hurt and Curtis ended up being a fairly decent dancer

The Jackyl managing the Acolytes. Wasn't he implied to be the Higher Power at some point? Fun fact: Rick Martel's recommendation got Jackyl his job for the WWF. Also fun fact: Rick Martel was supposed to return to the WWF in 1998 and team with The Jackyl as "The Supermodels", but he ended up accepting an offer from WCW instead.

They had to promote the release of See No Evil on dvd so they started the May 19th thing. Then they got there, and had no idea what to do at that point. So take Kane. And he took the guys mask off. The end. May 19th ended up being a random episode of SmackDown. JBL asked Rey Mysterio what day it was then Kane murdered him. They actually on the Raw after it mentioned that the reason Kane was so pissed off was because May 19th was the day his parents died. Which astoundingly was continuity, they'd given the same date on a random episode of Raw in like 1998. I'm sorry, but when did the "Booker T tells people to join The Authority" thing happen? I don't remember that at all. Was happening just after the group came together, for three or four weeks he kept going up to Bryan and Big Show and telling them they couldn't win and should just surrender.

Remember when Johnny Curtis did a few backstage promos and poured milk over his head?

in recent memory one of the worst is the bella's storyline. For them to just drop it without any payoff or explanation after how much time they put into it was really stupid. Mind you, i'm glad they did though because the storyline sucked and no one cared but still that was pathetic. I think it was implied "they're sisters. Sisters fight". It was a really crappy payoff to an agnle that saw Brie look like a complete moron week after week.

Pretty sure it was more than implied and was stated at one point. It probably was. Still a stupid resolution. Congrats, Brie. Your sister treated you like crap, won the title, and as a rewar.... you're her sidekick

remember when JR was a heel after coming back from his Bells Palsy and aligned himself with Dr Death Steve Williams....remember how Dr Death was introduced? by wear an orange overall and a "KI-BUKI-MASK!" and pushed Bart Gunn off the top of the ramp on RAW. remember then the next week JR and Dr Death came out and blamed creative for putting Dr Death under a mask and it was never mentioned again? Russo had a thing for Gimmick denouncing that year. He did it with JR/Dr Death, Chaz/Beaver Cleavage and then with Seven/Dustin Runnels in WCW. He'd also done a similar angle with Goldust burning his suit in 1998.

Thankfully Ziggler's "TURD" chant didn't spawn Bryan parody shirts (ala STEPH! STEPH! STEPH!)

I remember in 2008 when I was taking a break from WWE and decided to tune in to Smackdown one day to give it a chance. Never have I been so reminded of why I stopped watching something than when the screen went to static and some bald dude came up trying his hardest to look cool while yelling about the darkness. Wasn't that like 2004 or something? Jade Vansen was Dec 2008
