There's no way I see Jon Snow dying anytime soon. It's basically his story in the north and at the Wall. If he dies, whose point of view carries what will probably be the biggest story moving forward? Sam? A wildling? Somebody else at the Wall? Jon has to be the one to lead the battle against the white walkers and keep us invested in this part of the world. Honestly, I'm pretty sure Jon will be the one to win the Iron Throne in the end, or at least make it to the final battle. So yeah, I don't see him dying anytime soon either. My theory is that Tyrion (or someone else) will convince Daenerys to join forces with Jon Snow to fight the White Walker as at this point, I don't see anything short of dragons being able to stop them, not to mention if I understand correctly, burning the bodies is the only way to make sure they never reanimate. Once that threat is dealt with, they either stick together to get one of them on the throne or break their alliance and become enemies. I'm glad they showed how much of a threat the White Walkers were in this episode, in case you forgot about them. Jon Snow, Tormund and whoever is left will have quite the story to tell the others. I thought the Giant wasn't going to make it, but glad to see he made it to sea and swam with the others. Chalk this one up as a massive L for the Crows/Wildlings crew. I honestly thought he'd be killed and turned into a White Walker. "Giant White Walker! Oh shit!!"

I would mark out so hard if Tyrion and Daenarys formed an alliance with both Jon and Arya (if her exploits with Jaqen lead her to Winterfell). Though, if they did with Jon at least I'd be happy. I don't know for sure if that will happen though, as Ned died for Stannis which would be in the back of Jon's mind.

I kind of want to see that alliance for the awkward potential. Tyrion: We're getting complaints of the grain shipment carts not reaching Qarth. Dany: I broke the wheels. Tyrion: Ok... Any solutions, Arya? Arya: A girl does not think, a girl only sees what she sees. What does a girl see? Tyrion: Jon? Jon: I'M SO WARM! HOW ARE YOU NOT SWEATY!?

It'd be even more awkward if they'd kept the Jon/Arya/Tyrion love triangle GRRM had in the original outline of the story.

How is it that Martin somehow came up with something more disturbing than Brother/Sister/She-Hulk?

Anyone else think the White Walkers and wights have completly negated most of the other stories? They seem so overpowered, who cares what the King is or isnt doing and that the Queen and Queen mother are in jail when the undead apocalypse is on the way?

They need Samuel L. Jackson ( not in character, mind you, but the real guy) to show up and just yell at people
"You motherf***ers stop motherf***ing fighting with each other and stop these motherf***ing White Walkers!"

Oh I get that, but I feel a little cheated as a viewer, if the White Walkers do become the absolute central threat to the realm then everything I've watched up to this point does'nt really mean anything.

That's how I felt when Mellisandre came into the story. Ruining a great political story with "Wizard did it" assassination ability. But with this, I see it being able to work both sides. Even in a Man vs. Ice Zombie war, I still see the bickering and betrayal happening.

My feeling is if you care about the characters involved, their plotlines are going to matter to you whether they're part of the "big picture" or not. At the very least you want to see your favorites be involved in the showdown with the White Walkers in some capacity, which means they have to overcome whatever obstacle is before them at that point (or at least survive them).

Youre right, but I dont really have faveouriye characters, I dont prefer one over the other, I like the intrigue, complex relationships, motives and how theyre enacted, what people want and why. I guess if I had to pick a fave, itd be Littlefinger, I see him as the puppet master and I'll be pretty annoyed if all that complexity is thrown out the window for AH ZOMBIES!! Ive also just started reading the 1st book for the 1st time, if the endgame for it all is a zombie attack, thats a bit lame, all these years, thousands of words, building an entire world, languages and cultures all to build to what is now a played out horrow concept. EDIT: To me itd be like if The Sopranos was ended with a Heat like gun battle in the streets, or if McNulty just started capping gangsters at the end of The Wire, seems to go against the entire tone of the story.

I hope Davos gets more involved soon. {Spoiler}Maybe if Sansa escapes, he's involved. He is a smuggler. His absence could explain Stannis sacrificing Shireen, his conscience is gone and I just doubt that Davos, no matter his loyalty, would let it happen.
