Well, at least Orton can breathe a sigh of relief that he doesn't have the most embarrassing injury in the business any more, having hurt himself pounding the mat for the RKO wake up taunt. Sorry but neither of these truly take the award for most embarrassing injury
That still belongs to Kevin Nash, for taking a step and tearing his quad, his first match back from I believe the same Injury.
Atleast he was actually attempting to do something. Running to do a move. Injured during a taunt or an entrance? Ssss...not good. Didn't one of those end Human Tornado's career ?

and according to everybody involved, Nash wasn't even supposed to be in a match that night and he wasn't cleared but WWE felt they needed him in a match so Nash didn't even have his leg braces (and he had leg problems ever since a bad basketball injury in Germany)

Vince popping both quads running into the ring at Royal Rumble '05 takes the cake for me

Cena tried to kill him to keep his spot safe.

Hoping this is minor and can be fixed/given time to heal up and he's back at it. I didn't see the match, my boycott of RAW (since I see myself as an unwanted former customer) continues, and it is a match that I regret missing since I love the kind's work.
Having said that, for those saying it's a burial, it isn't, not in and of itself. It's only a burial if he gets the treatment Cesaro got after "having a competitive match with Cena" where he quickly becomes a jobber afterthought for a substantial period afterwards.
The match doesn't make the burial, the reaction of the bookers following the match makes the burial.

This sucks. How come every up and coming exciting superstar seems to get injured, while Cena, Kane, and Big Show would probably be healthy enough to wrestle the cockroaches after a nuclear Armageddon?
Certainly not wishing injury on anymore but f*** man...

Didn't know where else to put this, but wouldn't it have been amazing if Owens would have run in, destroyed Zayn, stared down Cena, and left? During the staredown, Rusev could have run in to sneak attack Cena...

People give Nash way to much crap on that when he wasn't even cleared. It wasn't the same injury either. He was coming back from a torn bicep before that Nash was on TV a lot during the time out. I quad tear you would had a lot of trouble getting around. HHH gets no crap for doing it twice only because he keep going in the match. Vince doesn't either and all he did was run.

My issue is that some seemingly treat it not even as a possibility, but as an out and out foregone conclusion. Fair enough, though I would note that there IS history to at least suggest higher potential. Wade Barrett was "can't miss", then he and the rest of Nexus got fed to the machine. Cesaro was on his way up, getting over with crowds, had his "competitive moment", and had everything loved about him taken away or changed. Now, if they put Sami on the Punk track, the massive pop, the "home field advantage" debut, the announcers treating him like a big deal from day one, and a build that feels organic with a rise up the card where the announcers don't do their "never mind this guy, let's talk about Cena and Reigns", then he will be money. The man is still relatively young, has more than a decade of "seasoning", busts his ass in the ring, and gives off a great "you'll have to kill me to keep me down" vibe that doesn't have to be force-fed by the announcers. Like I said, though, it will require WWE (read: Vince) to nto do his usual and say, "Well, it's been two weeks, let's feed him to someone to make them look good, then change his theme and look and moves and gimmick to something else".

Certainly not wishing injury on anymore but f*** man... Because their movesets don't require them to be especially flexible, thus not exposing them as often to possibly injurious situations? Lower risk, less chance of something going wrong. I understand that in Zayn's specific case, it was just him swinging his arms around to play the crowd, but generally speaking...

He reportedly injured it during his entrance. I can't help but worry about his injuries. Now would be a great time for him with Daniel Bryan's future in question. He's worked a very physical style for years. I hope he hasn't cut his career short working this way.

Nah, that spot's still held by Kevin Nash blowing out his quad walking across the ring Great minds think alike, I suppose.

This is sad for Zayn, but incredibly ironic at the same time: the IWC's messiah injuring himself by over excitingly taunting the crowd BEFORE he even started his match, against Cena of all people. He's not ready brother
