Well, TNA is a mess, so it's no surprise. However, wrestling competition is a good thing. I hope they can either stay afloat or another promotion reaches a great deal.

TNA is far from competition to anybody. That's the problem and haven't had creditability in years. If they go it not even a lost anymore because the talent that worth while will get jobs and gives GFW a chance to gain talent. Most of the talent anybody care about anyway already left.

Type of people dave has to deal with on Twitter PhenomAJJones • 8 minutes ago Anyone think that Meltzer tired to hit on Dixie, and she laughed in his face and turned him down and that's why he is bitter? Of course Meltzer tired to hit on Dixie. She has an ass that just won't quiet! "Destination unknown. Ruby, ruby, ruby Soho!"

This makes me feel sad.
I really will miss this damn board.
I don't post much here but I lurk often. This section knew how to roll with the punches no matter what shit Dixieland threw at ya. Chicken salad out of chicken shit and all that.

I hope it is the end of TNA because Dixie needs to be out of wrestling period. TNA been horrible way more times then being good and everytime they had into the right direction they find a way to screw it up. She has no clue how to market the company and made stupid move after stupid move they could been ways to make money and add creditability to the company that most of us saw a mile away and would never done it. Face it most of us on this board could do a better job than Dixie. People can tell me that I have no clue about running a wrestling show and your right I don't but neither did she when she took over. You know for years to come we're going to have threads questioning the competency of Dixie Carter. Really though while Dixie's poor business tactics prolonged TNA's suffering, the reality is Spike and DA had the final say. It's similar to WCW in that when the higher ups don't like pro wrestling and when they make a decision to drop it, it's dead. That being said, a book looking into Dixie's clueless nature would be absolutely fascinating. Her continued support of Russo, bringing in Bischoff/Hogan, the move to Mondays and touring nationwide, paying big money to WWE rejects, letting AJ go, the move to DA instead of a bigger network, her continued support of Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle despite their problems... it's got to be crazy.

I really think On the Road in 2012 was the game changer. And that's on Dixie. Before then they had a steady consistent extremely low risk thing going. That was a true fiasco, on all levels.

While I don't consider it a legitimate competition, it does offer an alternative/companion to what is also available. It provides a place to work and gain exposure to dozens of talent. As crappy as it has become, I would miss the TNA-option if it goes away and is not replaced (not necessarily on Destination America, of course).

The mind boggling thing mentioned in this thread is the notion that TNA turned down other networks for Destination America. I never knew this and am baffled that they might turn down WGN to go to a crackpot network that runs Bigfoot shows and rednecks looking for ghosts. I mean geez, I know the Cubs have sucked for over 100 years but it's still better than Destination America.
TNA really has been a promotion in name only for a while now. They don't really run shows, don't run hardly any PPVs, and tape TV in massive bulks weeks at a time. Some of these guys might go to Jarrett's group, some to Japan, but I doubt WWE really wants many of them. They might take Jeff Hardy back.

Dixie has said she really doesn't oversee creative so she really dropped the ball on the business side. I don't doubt that Bischoff/Hogan sold her a bill of goods, but as a businesswoman not being to see through their crap? Well there you go.

Yeah, the one good thing about TNA collasping is that it means Dixie Carter will be pushed out of the business. Awful businesswoman and an even worse human being in some ways.

I'm not surprised by this news. TNA has essentially been a zombie promotion since leaving Spike TV. Time to shoot this sucker in the head.

I really think On the Road in 2012 was the game changer. And that's on Dixie. Before then they had a steady consistent extremely low risk thing going. That was a true fiasco, on all levels. Spike TV gave TNA a lot of room to become sometime and TNA didn't live up to what they wanted. Which most of it was because Dixie business moves. You can't tour without advertising the shows. TNA lacked doing that as admitted by AJ and Daniels. The fact Hardy and Angle where champions during there legal issues doesn't make any company look good and I'm sure that wasn't Spike doing. That was Dixie. It was also Dixie and Russo that felt it was a good idea too have a guy come out with music of a plane crash and pretty much be a terrorist. I'm sure it wasn't also DA to have anybody drop the "N" word on TV and not sensor it.The list of bad moves by Dixie and camp. I'm sure out way anything the Network said.
